Tonight or tomorrow night will be out last night in this apartment, I’ve lived here for over 6 years. It has been good.
We’ll be in the new house on or before June 1st.
I saw this movie, “Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead”. It was really good, but really creepy. These two brothers plan the robbery of their own parents jewelry store. It goes really wrong and their Mother ends up getting shot. And that’s just the beginning, things get worse and worse and worse.
You gotta see it!
It’s been a week since my last post, I’ve been diving and moving some stuff to the new house.
Inner Space is over, all my dives were below 250 feet, and I set a new depth record on my rebreather, 408 feet.
I didn’t take a single picture all week. Except I borrowed a camera and took it on a dive to Funky Town, which I’ve mentioned before. I need to go and get the raw footage from the cameras owner. (He’ll be trying to sell me the camera.)
This is the last week they have to finish the house. All that’s left are the electrical inspection and the final inspection for the Certificate of Occupancy. Then I get the contractor out of there.
I’m freeking stressed, worried they won’t make it. We have to be out of this apartment at the end of the month.
Also the money is flying out of my accounts at an alarming rate. Today I have to go pay $5400 for furniture the OI Girl ordered. Bedroom set.
I don’t know what to do first.
I’m not scheduled to be back at work till Thursday.
My contractor, building my house. Is screwing me.
At the beginning, I asked, “suppose we save money or it doesn’t cost as much as planned? The money we save will increase the contractors profit. How does this money get back into my pocket?
The contractor, who was my friend for years assured me he’d give me money back. I trusted him.
Well, the last draw from the bank gave him enough to finish the job, plus $12000 surplus. He said he could finish with that. Also there’s $12000 surplus in other parts of the construction. Plus there’s $23000 left in the bank. Plus everything I’ve looked at, I’ve been seriously overcharged for. (IE more surplus money in his pocket)
He wants it all, and with the contract, I have to give it to him. I asked my financial institution to protect me from this sort of thing, and I guess they haven’t. But I’ll be talking to them today and I’ll see what they say. I figure I’m paying at least $48000 that isn’t going to the house.
I’m an idiot I guess, stupid for trusting him. The OI Girl never liked him from the beginning.
I’ve got a lot of pics from my daytrip, they’re still on my camera, but I’ll post some soon!
