Dancing Cactus Man

I had a dream this morning, My first dream that I remember for a long time. Just the other day I was thinking, it’s been a long time that I’ve had any dreams….

I was at a hotel. I looked out the window and there was an AC unit. On top of the AC was a cactus, I thought “That cactus looks like a person. How does it grow on the metal of the AC?” I didn’t think much of it. Later, I looked out the window again, the cactus was in a different position, and I realized that if I watched, I could see it moving, and it was dancing. A dancing man cactus.

Later, I went down the hall to the bathroom (apparently, the rooms didn’t have private bathrooms). but the hotel had been remodeled, and the door that was the bathroom door was now another room, and my optometrist was in there. I was talking to her, (“where’s the bathroom?” “I don’t know.” “This is where it used to be.” “I just checked in, this is the room they gave me.”)

So I go to ask where the bathroom and I end up getting in the back of a truck, and we ride and ride, running cars off the road and stuff. Beautiful sunny day. Then the next thing I know, I’m back in my room and the dancing cactus man was dancing almost full speed.

Then I woke up. Alarm clock .

Have a Happy Humpin’ Day!

  1. Your dancing cactus reminds me of those “air men” that move because of a fan shooting air up into them. They’re found outside auto dealerships flopping their arms around and sometimes falling over before another burst of air straightens them up again. We were on a charter cruise once when the charter sponsor brought two of those and had them at the gangway each morning at each new port. They were really strange flopping around as guests tried to cross the gangway. Whenever I see them anywhere else, I always think of that weird choice of “decoration” by the cruise sponsors. Sadly, that was reality, not a dream….

  2. Yes, but in the dream, he didn’t look like the picture. The picture is just a picture I found on the internet.

  3. Sounds fairly benign and pleasant as dreams go. :-). Unless it was an evil cactus or you really needed to go to the bathroom. Except that your optometrist now works out of a former bathroom, which might not be the most sanitary. 🙂 🙂 Lately I really almost always only ever remember the anxiety dreams.

  4. Okay, can I just say? You really do have weird dreams. Did it solve any problems you were having during the day before? They say (I am assuming, “they” the dream “experts”) that, we dream to solve our problems. I have yet to dream a dream that solved any of mine. In any case, your weird dreams are entertaining.
