how long does it enable you to remain underwater for?
With regular scuba, you breathe the gas from your tank and exhale and the exhaled gas goes in the water. With the rebreather your exhaled gas goes back into the unit and through CO2 absorbent material (called scrubber), and you breathe the same gas again and again. With regular scuba your bottom time is determined by how long your gas lasts, witht he rebreather it is determined by how long the CO2 absorbent material lasts. I use mine for 4 hours. With the new electronics (which I should be getting TOMORROW!!!!!!), it should last a lot longer because it is able to monitor the scrubber usage more accurately.
