First 2015 Weekend

It was a good weekend, they’re always good.

We have a visitor here from Minnesota. It’s super cold up there. She’s been sick. Yesterday was her first day at the beach.  I didn’t go, I was home, clearing the branches off trees that hang over into our yard. I cut a lot of wood! It made a huge difference in the back half of the back yard, it’s much brighter. Maybe some grass will grow there now.

Kinda not looking forward to work today, first full week of the year, first week in a few weeks. Hope it doesn’t seem too long, or too painful. The wife has the day off, she’s going to Rum Point with Martina, our guest.

I’m sitting here on the back porch, under an orange light bulb, watching the full moon go down behind the trees. It’s just starting to get light. Faint glow. Did you ever notice that in the winter the moon follows the path of the summer sun in the sky? And in summer the moon follows the path of the  winter sun? That’s why it’s winter here and summer in New Zealand.

I feel like I could go on for a long time, but that’ll do for today! Have a good week!

  1. That’s interesting about the paths of the moon and sun. Mark, I hope your week will not be too onerous! Well, there’s always Friday evening! Best wishes for Martina feeling better.
It’s cold here in North Carolina.

  2. i hope your guest gets to feeling better. and doesn’t make either of you sick – she’d feel terrible about that, i’m sure. 🙂

  3. Nice mention of my country Dude. It is indeed summer here and it’s freakin hot. I doubt it’s that cold in the Cayman’\s though.
