The Table Is Gone

nobody wanted my 100-year-old antique oak table. Somebody was supposed to come get it yesterday, but they didn’t show up. I had already carried it downstairs, so I left it out by the street.

it doesn’t feel good, the table’s been in the family since 1967. I hope the guy who wanted it stops by and picks it up today, or any case it finds a good home. I’m thankful to have the space in my house. The room is twice as big now without that table..

It’s new moon, Chinese new year, lunar New Year. Many people have been saying how they have been crabby or depressed lately. And they blame it on the moon. I guess I’m one of them. It occurred to me that I’ve been in the dumps since 2025 began. It started by getting hit by the door, then hurting my back, now not feeling good about the table,..

Oh well, it’s almost February!
