When I moved into my first by myself apartment, I had very little furniture..
I had two beach chairs, a biggish piece of glass, a 13 inch black and white TV and my Heathkit Stereo.
I put the piece of glass on the floor between the two beach chairs, facing the stereo and TV, and called it the world’s lowest coffee table.
I also add a white plastic outdoor table as a dinner table and four of the white plastic chairs, and my bed.
I have a house full of stuff, and I’d like to get rid of about half of it. Our possessions on us, not the other way around.

Stew and I started out with very little as well… and now we are getting or have gotten rid, of about 3/4 of our possessions! Moving from a big 4 bedroom, huge studio home to a TINY 2 bedroom house in 5 weeks! It’s scary! But we are doing it now to totally wipe out our mortgage and have plenty of money in the bank for later years. I hope all is well with you mate.

So, Stew and I had very little when we got together, over the years we have accumulated MASSES of ‘stuff’. 6 months ago we decided to downsize our home, so I have sold and gifted away over three quarters of our furniture etc! We are moving from a large 4 bedroom, huge studio home to a TINY 2 bedroom house!!! Best thing… we will no longer have a mortgage, and a good chunk of money in the bank for later years. Best thing ever.

I think I had a 26″ TV. And my aunt gave me a couch with a pastel, floral pattern and a few tears in it. And I was super happy, too.
I think my TV was 13 in black and white. And yes! I loved my apartment with my low coffee table giant stereo and little TV.
