Goldie Update

it’s hard for me to understand the psychology that would cause a cat to run away from their bowl of food. That is what Goldie was doing. I would put the food down in front of him, he would stick his nose in it and literally run out of the yard under the gate and away.

last night I fit the two cats, Knip started whooding it down like the pig that he is, and Goldie left the premises. I came back inside.

Moments later, it started raining quite hard. I went back outside to move the food bowls away from the rain, further back into the carport. Goldie was there, hiding from the rain. Because of the rain, there was nowhere to run. He ate. This morning, I fed them both, expecting Goldie to run away but he ate again this morning.

The last time I went on a trip, the pet sitter would chase Goldie down the street with the bowl of food. I specifically told her not to because it changes the behavior of the cats, but she did it anyway. And like I said at the beginning I don’t understand the psychology of a cat running away from food but maybe somebody chasing you with a bowl of food would have something to do with it. That end toothache pain.

Anyway, I know Goldie ate yesterday, and I know Goldie ate today. For that I am grateful.

Have a great day
