Its no longer about survival. I have almost 25,000 gems. Duolingo doesn’t even make me pay gems to get more “lives” if I make too many mistakes any more.

They use energy units now instead of whatever it was before that you could run out of and have to buy more with gems. I seem to never run low on energy units.

I wonder how many people have a streak as long as mine or longer? Probably less than 1000or 500. I don’t know how many users they have.

Despite my previous complaining, I’ve been pretty happy with the program for months now.
