Yesterday, between rainstorms, I neatly trimmed the heck out of our trees. in the back and side yards.

I really like the pole trimmer/electric chainsaw I bought.

My pole saw, the saw comes off, and becomes a chainsaw

We, (the wife helped, even running the chainsaw!) really opened up the back yard to more light, and neatened up the yard a lot! And there’s still lots to do.

I know you lumberjacks out there are saying, “That’s not a chainsaw, it’s a little toy!” Well, it gets the job done, and I was originally planning on getting a big ‘ol gas chainsaw, but gas engines, when they sit around, tend to not start and need a lot more maintenance than electrics. Plus, I’ll hopefully only need it once a year. I’m happy with the one I got!

Here, it’s very rainy, with rain expected all week. It rained a lot yesterday.

Now I gotta go make my lunch, and get ready for work. Have a great week!

  1. I’ve got one of those also. And you’re right. If you don’t use a gas powered one enough and forget to drain the tank, trying to start one is a pain in the butt.

  2. We need one of those! Our hedge trimmer died. Where’s the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos??? I love before and after photos. And I’m nosey and want to see your yard.

    • I’m very happy with it, I don’t know how good it would be for hedges, it’s more fro trees and bigger wood. But there are pole hedge trimmers available!
I didn’t take a “before” photo, because I didn’t think it would be so drastic, but I’m posting an “after” picture today. My wife and were saying that we should have taken a before and after set…
