I love my Kindle Scribe. I use it every day. BUT! A couple weeks or so ago,i got an actual email talking about a new firmware update. I’ve seen articles about it . But it’s not there on their website and it’s driving me nuts.
I’ve had the April update since April. That was way before the email and articles. I want the update that converts writing to text!
Its torture I tell you, torture!
I swam the half mile yesterday. My new Samsung Active 2 died, first time I put it in the water. Where I bought it specifically said the warranty does not cover water damage. The watch is rated to 50 meters deep and is made to track swimming You will, i think, find 3 dead Samsung watches on this blog. I’m pretty done with Samsung watches..
All these fitness trackers claim to be waterproof, but none really seem to be. 50 meters is like scuba diving waterproof.
i.really enjoy having my sleep and exercise monitored though…. What’s next? I’m looking at a OnePlus Band. 26 dollars, used.

Got a new phone this weekend. A Samsung Galaxy S21. The Ulifone is still good, but getting weird, like Bluetooth turning itself off. This Samsung cost 3X what the Ulifone cost, and it’s last years model
But it’s smaller and lighter and I’m happy with it.
Another Monday, Another 3 day week!
i have had a Galaxy Watch 2 ever since my original Galaxy Watch died. There was recently a software update that seems to make the watch use up battery a lot quicker. I’m not really happy about it. I used to put it to charge when I got in the shower and I would be at 100%. 10 minutes or so morning and night (from into the shower until I leave for work in the mornings). It would be in the 70 to 80 percent rang when I plugged it in. Now it’s 40 to 60 percent and I actually plugged it in to charge while I did my exercises this morning. So the watch isn’t doing it’s prime function, monitor my activity.
And I’m not really happy about it. But I’m not losing sleep over it.
it was a good, quiet weekend, rainy Saturday, sunny Sunday and now it’s back to work!

I got a Samsung watch for my birthday in 2019, I really liked it. The display started flickering about May of this year. I went and bought another one, the Samsung Galaxy watch 2. The display on this one flickered after the warranty expired and a day.
I’m taking them to the cell phone repair place, I’m going to ask if they can be repaired. In the meantime I’ve got my old Garmin Vivosport back on.
I really did like the Samsung watch and the watch 2.

I got a pair of these Aftershokz Aeropex Headphones and so far, I like them quite well. Your sound is better than I expected. I like the design and the style.
They are the bone conduction type of headphones, they don’t cover your ear opening. It disturbs me when I see people driving a car, riding a bicycle, or walking down the street wearing huge headphones. It disturbs me if I’m wearing headphones and I cannot hear traffic or my surroundings outdoors. These bone conducting headphones offer situational awareness, I can still hear what’s going on around me when I’m wearing the headphones.
They’re still in my testing stage and I’ll let you know more later.
The document signing mentioned yesterday didn’t happen, today at 10:30.. That’s the appointment.

There was a boy, dropped off by the side of the road as punishment for throwing stones missing almost a week before being found today or yesterday.
When I was a kid, I did my best to not modify my behavior when punished, to illustrate that punishment was inffective.
Good job kid, I’d say you kicked ass!
In other news, we got a new fridge yesterday. Two and a half thousand dollars… My phone died, I called the manufacturer because of a one year warranty, and they say the IMEI number isn’t valid. Sounds like a loada hooie to me. Meanwhile, I’m getting my ancient Galaxy S III fired up again.
And it’s Friday. Rainy all weekend, don’t care.

Last Friday our fridge quit working. Got it fixed Saturday. Tuesday night, it died again. Repairman said it’s dead this time.
Yesterday my new-ish phone the LG G4 died. I was looking at Google news, when the phone crashed and got stuck on the reboot screen. I moved back to my old Samsung S III.
I’m on the back porch, contemplating taking a sick day so I can get a new refrigerator.
Also, the internet has been off and on for days. I planned on posting from work yesterday, but the internet was down till lunch.
What a week!
This morning, I woke up, looked at the clock, and it was 5:10. my phone alarm didn’t go off. It’s been giving trouble, not coming on when I wake it, but this has been the first potentially catastrophic failure.
