Looks like my Redskins finally have a good quarterback. The first week had very few upsets, I think. The red underlines are the ones who won.
PS: Here’s week two odds.
What do you think?
Last week I posted about Lee thee Cat bringing home a cute giant rat.
Well, since then almost every day we have been finding dead animals around the house.
Yesterday, hints of dead smell was wafting around the house. I checked the yard, and found a dead rat. (Maybe I should say mouse this time) . So I shovelled it into the woods. Still, we could smell the smell. Checked the yard again. Found a dead bird in the advanced stages of decay, flies and maggots. Shovelled it into the woods.
I couldn’t smell anything dead any more but The Wife said she still could. I couldn’t find any more dead things in the yard.
Soooo this morning the dawgs were taking me for our walk and there was a mouse head on the front porch. Just the head.
What the heck is going on? Suddenly we live in the killing zone. Aren’t we feeding the cats enough? They get fed twice a day, and they quit eating before their food is gone (except for our three little piggies, also mentioned eariler) .
I don’t really want to start a daily dead animal removal ritual. What’s a poor boy like me to do?
The weekend was good, but too short. We saw the movie “The Campaign”, which was good.
And that’s about it. Have Ye a good week!
I switched back my little computer from Linux back to windows. It was a major hassle, as there were major issues with “validating” the software. I’d validate it, then when logging on, get a message telling me it was not validated and I must validate. click Ok, get a screen telling me it’s already validated. Click Ok, and back to the logon screen, where it tells me I must validate again… a loop. So instead of using the serial number from the sticker on the bottom of the computer, I used a number I have from an out of service computer. I had to re-install windows too. There’s something wrong when it’s easier to work around security than to be legitimate and straightforward. I couldn’t even get a human when I called Microsoft like my computer asked me to.
Walking the dogs this morning, I found a dead rat on the driveway. A gift from the cats.
This morning I’m drinking Marley Coffee. Buffalo Soldier. It’s not bad.
So, I need to buy some new clothes for my new job.
Washington Redskins start their season tomorrow against New Orleans! Saints are favored, GO SKINS!
Above are some photos of the beach and a cactus flower. This year all our cacti are blooming.
Good News, I got the job at the Airport!
The Wife got her new car yesterday, quite nice spaceship car. Below are two pics.
WordPress was giving me some major problems this morning. I’m not getting into it.
Yesterday, I thought today was Friday. Today it still feels like Friday.
When I was younger, I’d see my Mom drink water and seem to enjoy it. I’d say “Mom, why would you drink plain old water when there’s Coke and Kool-Aid and juice and so much better stuff to drink?”
I can’t remember what she ever said, probably because I found answer unsatisfactory.
Nowadays I keep three one liter glass bottles in the fridge, and I cycle through them usually at least twice a day. I gotta say that drinking cold water is AMAZING! Especially first thing in the morning. I can’t explain why its so good, nor can I explain when or why water became so good to drink. I guess I’m getting old.
In other news, The Wife is buying a new car and should be picking it up today. Stand by for pictures tomorrow.
Yesterday I found out a friend I had just talked to recently died. He told me he was sick, and he must have died right after we spoke. He died a month ago, and I just found out yesterday. R.I.P. Wes Emanuel.
Also I found out Michael Clarke Duncan died. He was 54. He was in the movie The Green Mile and The Whole Nine Yards. He was one of my favorite actors .
And yesterday I got a damper about the job I’m trying to get. Hopefully non eliminating.
