The You Tube Game

This weekend I invented what I call the YouTube Game

It’s a fun game you play by yourself. Here’s what you do. First of all, get your best sounding headphones and plug them into our YouTube device. I was on my phone.

Think of a song you really really like.
Find it on YouTube.
Listen to it on your headphones.
Enjoy it to the max.
While the song is playing, scroll down below and find another song you really really like.
It can’t be the same song by a different artist and it can’t be the same artist.
When the current song has finished, (skipping to the end is against the rules), play your next song.
Repeat.

The game is over when:
There is no suggested song that you really really like.
There is no suggested song that is by a different artist or song title.
Every suggested song is one that you don’t really really want to hear at that particular moment.
The batteries on your device die or your internet drops out. (it happens here)

When any of the above happens, you win!

You must keep playing till you win!

I played for a couple of hours Friday night. It ended for me when  every suggestion was Ozzy Osbourne. I covered a wide range of excellent music that I hadn’t heard in a long time before I got to the end. It was fun!

That Moment

I like the moment when I got up, showered, got dressed, got the dogs out, got my coffee and finally sit down to post my post. Not so much  posting the post, but the sitting down part.

Especially on a Friday. Especially on a Friday the 13th! Friday the 13ths are good luck days for me, not bad luck. Days. Same as black cats. Good Luck

My trip to Cayman Brac got delayed till next Wednesday.

That’s good.

It’s all going to be good today. Believe me!

Thoughtless Thursday

I got nuttin’ to post about today, slept good.

Tomorrow I’m supposed to go to Cayman Brac. I don’t have my ticket or my travel money yet. Today should be interesting.

No dog incidents last night. That’s good.

I feel kind of crabby and restless this morning. At the same time, I kinda feel like laughing. It’s hard to soar with the eagles when you’re running with the turkeys!

Dead Drops

I heard about this on the BBC this morning. Dead drops

‘Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space. USB flash drives are embedded into walls, buildings and curbs accessible to anybody in public space. Everyone is invited to drop or find files on a dead drop. Plug your laptop to a wall, house or pole to share your favorite files and data. Each dead drop contains a readme.txt file explaining the project. ‘Dead Drops’ is open to participation.

I might give this a try, I don’t think it will ever get too popular,  but I have some old thumb drives, 5 minute epoxy, and might give ‘er a go! You could do it with your phone and an OTG cable and  you wouldn’t have to carry your laptop..

Yeay! It’s Friday! Been a long weird week.
Monday didn’t seem like Monday because it seemed like last weekend was a day short.
Tuesday seemed like Monday
Wednesday and Thursday were timeless non-specific voids of white noise in a black hole.
And now it’s FRI-DAY-HAY-HAY! Yeay!

Tomorrow The Wife and I are going to hike the Mastic Trail. No  plans for Sunday yet.

I Forgot My Device!

Leonard Nimoy

I haven’t mentioned Leonard Nimoy’s death yet. I remember Star Trek as long as I can remember.
He was 83. My father died at 79.
I don’t think a person who dies at 83 died of smoking when they quit 30 years ago. I think it was just old age.

Getting Lighter Earlier

It is noticeably getting lighter earlier and staying light later, a sure sign that spring and summer are coming. This makes me very glad.

I am officially a real estate agent. Do you want to buy something?

I’m glad we got Monday out of the way, it was along, hard day. Today must be better.

I need to start taking more photos. I love my camera and hardly use it anymore. The new wears off until I pick it up.
