Fast Runner

I realized today what a fast runner I am. i spilled coffee grounds this morning, and apparently, it takes me the same amount of time to clean up spilled coffee grounds as it takes me to run my 1.8 mile course, because by the time I got it cleaned up, It was the same time on the clock as when I get into the shower.

i didn’t run today, spilled coffee, didn’t have time.

If Ditto was still alive, it`d be his birthday. Also, on this day in 1979, I left Silver Spring, MD for boot camp.

Yesterday at work, I ha annual safety training, all day. Got it again this afternoon, and tomorrow morning.

31 years ago today, I got out of the Navy after six years active duty and six months inactive. I joined on the Delayed Entry Program 15 Sep 1978 and went to boot camp 15 March 1979. They send you home the day before, ’cause I guess technically you’re still in while you travel.

I went at NTC Great Lakes,  for almost two years, for boot camp and Electronics Technician School, then I got stationed in Pearl Harbor on board the USS Somers DDG 34. I also went to some schools at Mare Island, north of San Fransisco.

TGIF!

I don’ have anything to say other than TGIF!

Went running this morning, well, walking/running.

Busy Day at wwork, I have a report due that’s basically done, but not polished. Want to get that done today, BUT I have a lot of meetings and a dental appointment this afternoon.

And that’s about it!

Zootopia

Last night we saw the movie Zootopia. It is a cute movie about a bunny who becomes a police officer in the big city.
It was good, funny and entertaining. All good! but, unless you have kids who need to see it, I’d probably recommend waiting to see it on TV.

Lost Wednesday

Sooooo, I went out running this morning, like I’ve been doing everyday for the past several weeks. Only today I went clockwise instead of anti-clockwise around my loop. I got lost! Missed a turn, went too far, had to doubleback.

Believe me, I was just as surprised as you are. I probably ran an extra half mile.

My loop is about a mile and a half or two miles, I run most of the way, but stop and wallk some too. I’m trying to get home quicker so I don’t miss the news, so I’m tryig to run more and more, until I run the whole thing in about 15 minutes. Normally, it takes me about a half hour to do the loop, today was 45 minutes.

But, this week is flying by! I thought it was Tuesday!

Brain Dead Tuesday

It was very hard to get up this morning. I was dreaming that my wife, and a navy friend were driving in San Francisco (I think) when I saw a friend of mine from here in Cayman. I said pull over, and we parked illegally and were walking over to the sidewalk where my friend was when the alarm went off.

Went running this moning, I tried to take Sheba but she couldn’t keep up. Didn’t go very far when I turned around and came back.

Right now I just feel tired, and want to go back to bed.

Not much more than that to say this morning. There’s not much more than that in my brain.

It”s very cloudy, and very windy, with the clouds travelling against the wind.

Todays Forecast: 30% chance of big clouds and little clouds with lightning and a whole bunch of rain drops this morning. Around noon, big clouds only with a 50% chance of one rain drop falling. 40% chance we’ll get another drop in the afternoon. Tonight mostly clear with a zero percent chance that one star is nearer to the Earth than the moon is.

Italy Trip Started

The Wife and I are going to Italy, we’ve already booked the tickets.

I have had a pen pal in Italy for many years, we are currently making arrangements to get from Rome to Udine to see him and his family.

I was emailing him and almost forgot to post my post, and now it’s getting late and I have to run
