I’m sad to see my visitor go. I had a great time and hope she did too.
It was a good almost-a-week.
I had requested another vacation day today, but I kind of withdrew it before it was approved. My co-workers wife was in a traffic accident and he is taking time be with her.

I got my Kindle Scribe about January 10th. I really like it a lot, more and more. I love writing on it. And reading.
Since Master and Margarita,Ive been taking notes on the books I read. It’s morphed to basically rewriting each chapter in my own words, but hopefully in a shorter form.
My notes on Circe were 60.pages long!
Anyway not sure of my point, but the Scribe is so much better than the Paperwhite, and worth every penny. I find writing on it to be super fun too.

My main pickleball partner is in Costa Rica this week. She saw my Tia Cynthia at her house..
It makes me very emotional. I miss my Costa Rican family.
I hope to see them all again sometime..
Going diving today!
I’m supposed to be in Jamaica, but my house sitter (arranged about 3 months ago) backed out. So I lost my $410 non refundable ticket and I’m staying home, still taking my vacation.
I have a visitor coming down and hopefully we will do some scuba diving, beach time, yoga and food.

It’s a Tuesday morning. I ran into a police officer acquaintance yesterday and he said I should probably just pay the speeding ticket. I feel totally innocent.
Maybe I’ll just put it behind me and pay. Maybe go to court. The just is still out.

I got a speeding ticket this weekend. The more I think about it the more I’m going to go to court and plead not guilty. I got a ticket for overtaking a car in a 25 mph zone. Myself and a string of cars behind me were trapped behind this car for quite a long ways and at the first passing zone I passed the car and then got back in my Lane in front of the car the police gave me a speeding ticket because I was speeding while I was overtaking.
I don’t know if I mentioned it here, but I was going to Jamaica this week. However my animal sitter canceled and I have no replacement. I had arranged this particular pet sitter 3 months ago about, I’m guessing. In hindsight, I could tell she was going to cancel. She stopped communicating. And I got the impression she was hiding from me.
Went diving yesterday and saw a seahorse. Very disappointing.
I have been diving for a very long time, and never saw a seahorse until relatively recently. My imagination was better than the reality.
And now it’s a Monday, it was a pretty productive weekend. In addition to the above I cleaned the house and load the yard and did laundry. And washed the dogs!

Hard to believe, but Pink Floyds “Dark Side of the Moon” was 50 years old this past March. I first got drunk in 1973, and started drugs very shortly thereafter. It seems I heard and loved Wish You Were Here before Dark Side of the Moon, I bought the LP Record (and still have it in 100% perfect condition. I don’t think I ever bought Dark Side Of the Moon, but I listen to it at least weekly.
Both are some of the greatest albums ever.

I would love to sail solo around the world in my own sailboat. However, I do not want to sign up for sailing lessons and putter around on a Hobie cat, learning how to sail. I don’t want to go out on dates, looking for a girlfriend like some high school kid. I want to already be established in a year’s long, happy, marriage.
This flawed logic of wanting something,, and imagining having it, without doing the work is defective thinking.
those guys on the Titan sub that imploded on its way to the Titanic, were engaged in this same flawed thinking. They could have dived shallower wrecks, they wanted to do one dive and that was the ultimate dive for the most advanced Submariner to ever make. They wanted to start at the finish. It cost them their lives. Same as if I just bought a sailboat and tried to sail around the world without sailing lessons, it would possibly cost me my life. (If I could even get it out of port!)
how much time do I waste, wishing for things I am not willing to work for? There are probably several examples in my life that I’m not even aware of.
