Turn Off Upcoming Alarm?

Most mornings, I notice my watch buzz inappropriately. This morning i discovered it was my phone asking me if I wanted to turn off the upcoming alarm! Is it just me, or is that a moronic question to ask? Waking me up to tell me i have to wake up in half an hour, do I want to turn off the alarm? The answer is not only no, but hell no! And furthermore, If i wanted to be awakened a half hour earlier than the time for which I set the alarm, I would have set the alarm for a half hour earlier!

Needless to say, today I will figure out how to turn off this rediculous notification.

Sheesh.

Bullet Post Today

Its Wednesday, it’s cloudy and promises rain today. .

I can’t think of a topic.

Im giving someone a ride to work today.

Yesterday I was having problems with a Bluetooth speaker but it seems fine today.

As far as moods go, I’m more on the crabby side today.

i.made a video of my morning exercise routine, but not sure if I’m going to post it or re-do it. It’s ok, but in parts my head is off the screen when I stand up.

It’s time for me to go to work.

No Spending Challenge

Im considering doing a no spending challenge.

Or this one:

My question is: where do I draw the line? For example, i wouldn’t give up scuba diving for this. But I would eat meals from home and (try to) stop restaurant meals.

My objetive would be to stop spending money on trivial unnecessary items. For example, one of the dogs leashes broke this morning. I can either: A buy a new leash or: B: use an older leash that’s still good. Another example would be, not giving up nutritious food for the cheapest food available. But then again, where is the line?

Ive been thinking about this since I first heard about it. It seems pretty cool. What do you think?

Twas A Great Weekend!

It was a great weekend! Friday i went to a birthday party. It was very nice. I even danced a little and wanted more!

I think the whole weekend seems longer if you go out Friday night.

All day Saturday it felt like Sunday, and Sunday felt like an extra day off. Both S- days (Saturday and Sunday) were full of yoga classes, beach and food and friends. I stayed busy and had a good time. The beach was nice but the waves were big and there was sargassum, but it was still excellent at the beach.

i feel like today is going to be a very good day too!

Yesterday’s Sunrise and Sunset

I took a picture of the sunrise yesterday, no reason, I just thought it looked good

Then driving home last night, the sunset was nice so I took a picture while I was driving and it came out pretty good!

I cropped it, but it’s not bad for a random moving shot! In the lower left you can see a parked car windshield and on the right is Mr Arthur’s Store and a piece of my car door. (Mr Arthur’s Store and a piece of my car door,.that rhymes!)

Then this morning I thought “I can post a post about yesterdays sunrise and sunset!” Genius!

This brings us to the present moment. Friday morning, nice day. Going to work today and a birthday party tonight.

Circe

Im about a quarter of the way through this book, Circe. I’m really enjoying it I don’t know what is different that makes the writing so special. In a nutshell, the book is about Greek Mythology.

Circe becomes a sorceress after she is rejected too many times. She leans how to change people into other forms. Because of this, she gets banished to an island. This island is referenced in the book Homers Odyssey, which has been on my reading list forever.

This book is good, highly recommended and very interesting.

Yesterday we had tons of rain. Now something is wet in my cars ignition and it’s giving me problems.

The Rain We Needed

It is really coming down. Torrential downpour for 15 to 20 minutes, then stop for a while. I walked the dogs this morning and the sea to the north was flat. Not a ripple, not a sound.

I got the fiber hooked up yesterday. Not without a hitch. They called and asked if i could be early, then they were late . Pleasant experience turned unpleasant. Flow can do nothing right.

Ive been wondering, and decided that if I can swim today, i will. Rain or shine.

Fiber Finally

Finally, after (probably) signing up more than a year ago, I’m getting fiber optic cable to the house.

I’m meeting someone today to run the fiber optic cable from the street into the house. My speed should go from 14 mbs to 80 mbs, which is the plan i chose.

It’s a good day.

Its supposed to rain, but I’m skeptical as the divemasters didn’t seem to know anything about it

USA Memorial Day

I had a nice weekend. Saturday i took it easy in the morning and swam the 800 meter race in the afternoon. I came in second in my age group, which is good for me. i did it in about 19.minutes 10 seconds, but forgot to stop my monitor at the end. The blue and black pic shows my pace, and you can see when I stopped. It was a rough swim with a waves in the face second half.

Yesterday I did my morning Ashtanga class, then a breakfast and coffee, beach, and cleaned the inside of my car while the dawgies played in the yard.

And today is back to work, no holiday here!

My Last Drivers License?

i got my driver’s license renewed yesterday. It now expires in August 2033. I’ll be 73, if i make it that long living, will I make it that long driving?

i find it amusing, seeing the end of my life coming down the road. I just hope it’s quick,.not some long, drawn out illness.

The foot is God, that’d be quick.

Anyway, this is not a morbid post, it’s funny. And it’s FRIDAY! I’ll probably have 3 more 10 year driver’s licenses!
