During those storm my generator wouldn’t start. I found the air filter had turned into moosh and .the carburetor was very dirty (clogged). I rebuilt and cleaned the carb and replaced the filter and got it running. But it runs rough. The jets in the carb have two parts, I could only get one out. Maybe I can get it out today.
Also, more yard cleanup yesterday (and today). And yesterday I went out looking for a replacement closet door. Didn’t find one, but stopped by the nursery and beach for a minute.

Tomorrow it’s back to work, I’m looking forward to it, strangely enough.
Overall, it was a nice weekend. Saturday was rainy and snoozy. I rested except for a little shopping. I bought some flowerpots and a new faucet for the bathroom sink.
Sunday morning I installed the faucet and re-potted some plants. Then I went for a long beach walk.

Another great weekend! Had Indian food with the regular dinner club on Friday, Lawn mowing and yard work in the morning and the CIASA World Aquatic Day on Saturday, after a long beach walk.

Sunday morning was a Plastic Free Caymanbeachcleanup at Barkers It was hot but fun. There was also a lot of flooding out there for some reason.

And now it’s another Monday morning and I’m headed back to work. Bummer.
I noticed that my posts are usually a day off. My Monday post is usually about the weekend, My Friday post is almost always about Thursday, Most of the posts (that rhymes) are about yesterday. I guess that’s the way it’s gotta be, unless I started posting in the evenings.

It was a good weekend, Friday night dinner club, Saturday mangrove festival in town…
Also Saturday was family fun day from work at the beach. It was fun with a lot of people and a lot of food and I want a $25 gasoline voucher playing bingo.
Sunday I went diving and to the beach ⛱. And had my regular beach pizza 🍕.
I didn’t do any of my chores. I didn’t paint, I didn’t clean, I didn’t mow, I didn’t trim the branches on the trees. And right now I don’t care.!
And now it’s Monday and I have a dental appointment today. Oh boy!
Went to movie night with the wife last night. It was good. I’ve been maybe 10 times, Every time I order food I request the salad instead of French fries. Only once have I got the salad as requested. When the waiter brings it I say “I’m sorry, but I ordered salad, not fries,” and he checks his notes, finds I did indeed request salad instead of fries, apologizes, brings me a salad and I have free French fries. If I posted this on Trip Advisor, they would fix it immediately and you would never get free fries again, so don’t tell anybody. So if you want free French fries go to the Westin movie night and ask for the salad with your Burger. You might get free fries you might not.
Last night the movie was Dirty Dancing. I had seen it before. It was a really good crowd who was “Interacting” with the movie. ” Nobody puts Baby in the corner” And it was windy on the beach and the wind blew the inflatable movie screen over twice. The crowd cheered and went wild. It was a fun night.
Today is Friday and yesterday was payday.. I have to pay bills.
Tomorrow is works Family Fun Day at the beach. Normally I wouldn’t go but now it’s like “hell yeah!” People and food!
Sundays 24 hour cold seems to have made a comeback. I went to work Monday, feeling like crap because I had some mandatory stuff to do. I was feeling better by the afternoon. Yesterday, I felt ok when I went to work, but got worse all day. This morning, when I opened my eyes, I felt OK, but I can tell I should be taking a sick day. Already feel crappier.

I went to movie night last night. It was good. When I got there, I noticed the Westin Webcam, which I sometimes use as a weather/wave check.
It will frequently rain in town and not northern 7 Mile Beach or West Bay. Since I was on the Westin wifi, I did a screen grab of me on the camera.
It could be a nice hobby, traveling the world and collecting selfies on webcams. I have a picture of myself on the Akumal and the Macabuca webcams. And now the Westin. I noticed that the Westin webcam had a big 10 second time delay by the way. (That rhymes.)
There was also a nice sunset before the movie, which started instantaneously when the sun dipped below the horizon.
It was a nice weekend, right up until today. Friday I went to dinner with my Friday night dinner club. Saturday I finished painting the roof (except I’m going to put another coat on.) And made it to the Annual Mango Fest in George Town.
I really wanted a Mango smoothie but for some reason they were gone, already finished. But I did have some good juices and bought a piece of art. Two Cayman Parrots.
I really like it.
Sunday, I finally made it to Ragazzi Pizza on the beach at Luca. It was my 4th time, but they had been closing early. Basically the advert was wrong. It was really good pizza and locale. I will be going back with friends.
After Luca, went to this little beach right in the middle of town. It has been calling me for weeks. So I went and found lots of sea glass. And I tried to take a video but instead got a series of pictures. Not sure what I did wrong, but the result was interesting.
Today is cloudy and rainy, Tropical Storm Elsa is to our north. We had heavy lighting and rain last night and this morning. Today, (bank holiday) looks lIke it’s going to be a write-off, which is OK in my book. Tomorrow will be sunny again, I hope.
It was a good weekend. Friday, I went out to dinner with a bunch of friends. It was nice, but not as nice as the previous Friday., But still nice. Crappy loud restaurant, I declared it a lunch place and not a dinner place, at night it’s too much bar, too little restaurant.
Saturday, I went to the beach in the morning and had a nice quiet morning, finished my book. In the afternoon, I took the dogs to the beach. They behaved remarkably well and I think they had a good time. See the video below. Daisy made me laugh when she fell down the hill. Lenny wass just bursting with happiness.
Sunday, went diving.It was a very typical Cayman dive, trying to get some good pictures and videos. Below is a part of a video of the mantis shrimp, poor quality and about 6 seconds long. He wouldn’t come out, and I could see him with my eye but not on the camera. I didn’t know if I had any shots or video till I got out of the water.

And Sunday afternoon I cleaned house some more, (no rush) and made preparations to re-re-re-paint my roof. Last time I painted it, I wasn’t happy with it, and it’s been a year now. I got some good paint and I’m psyched to get ‘er goin! Now if the weather would cooperate. I think I’ve painted it four times since I lived here.
