It’s getting to be a regular thing, Monday underwater pictures. Heres a select few from yesterday.
And HERE’S a link to a short video of the two shrimp, dancing. And HERE’S a link to a short video of an octopus from yesterday. The octopus video s better on a bigger screen.
And now it’s off to work for me. Have a great week!
Let me start by saying, I binge-watched Stranger Things season 4. It was quite good. Worth watching, definitely.
Yesterday, went diving, below are pictures, with captions, of course.

Above, you will see a tree for which I dug a whole hole, twice as deep as it needed. I put a lot of good potting soil underneath. The tree is a she, and her name is Ava the Avocado tree.
And now, it is Monday, and I must again report for jury duty. I am not looking forward to it. Hopefully I can dodge that bullet again.
Happy Monday, above are pictures of yesterday’s dive. Two squid shots, small fish in a pink sponge, one French angel and a conch in shell with eyeball,
18 July 1895 is my grandfather’s birthday. Damon E. Grim. He’d be 127 if he were still alive today. Happy birthday Grandpa!
Friday i posted about how I expected a quiet, relaxing weekend. Well, I started Saturday morning and didn’t stop till last night.
Saturday i had breakfast with one group of friends and lunch with another. Then I did the 800 meter sea swim and got a medal for 3rd place in my age category. (Yeay!)
First place Wayne and 3rd place me.
Sunday i went diving. Then did a yoga class, followed by the second inversion workshop (standing on my head)
and then I met some friends in town in the evening. Yesterday I left the house at 8am and didn’t get back home till 6:30pm. Then I had to walk and feed the animals and put away my dive equipment. I still haven’t gotten the underwater
pictures off of my camera.
And now it’s another back to work Monday. (no Memorial Day here).
Its Discovery Day, a holiday Monday here in Cayman. It was supposed to rain for 10 days but it’s been mostly sunny. Hurt at last two of my low light plants pretty badly. I out them out for rain and they got sunburnt.
Below are pictures from yesterdays dive.
Also, on Saturday, I did the CIASA 800M Swim, I was pleasantly surprised to come in 3rd in my age category, willing a 3rd place medal. 3rd out of 5. I’ve never been a racer, I’ve never been on a swim team. I’ve been a lifeguard and swimming lesson teacher and scuba diver/instructor. I realized I am slow and steady,.one speed no matter how far I have to go. So I’m no longer obsessed about going fast, I want the t-shirt.
All i planned on doing this weekend was cleaning the house. I failed gloriously. Saturday I went to breakfast with friends, then lunch with a different group of friends, then saw the Batabanu Carnival Parade.
Sunday I went diving then went to a yoga class, and then mowed the yard . Below are some underwater pictures from yesterday.
And now it’s back to work on a Monday and I don’t mind going.
I had a good weekend! Saturday I went out for breakfast and lunch. Did some yard work and gardening. The internet cable job is done. Finally.
Sunday I went diving and a remora tried to attach itself to me. Quite, no, extremely annoying. He finally attached to my fin and I left him there. Better my fin than my leg.
Here is a link to a short video of the remora on my fin. And below are some pictures.
Above is a picture of the beach in downtown George Town. I stopped by to look for some sea glass.
Last night I went to a presentation on Blackwater Diving. That’s diving in the open ocean at night. By open ocean, it was presented by Don Fosters I mean not on a reef, off a boat in a bottomless sea. I didn’t take pictures of their pictures, but I did see Jessika’s scuba instructor and took a selfie to send her.
Me and Nick at Don Fosters.
And, if I was still married, today would be my 13th wedding anniversary. She’s been gone almost a year.
And now itsa backa to-a work-a. That’s supposed to sound Italian.
My visitors leave today, I am quite sad about it. It was a very short trip.
Erica, me, Jessika
Yesterday was so rainy, we could barely make it outside. But we had a two meal day consisting of a late big breakfast and and a late big lunch.
The highlight of the trip, I suppose, was Jessika taking the intro to scuba class at Don Fosters.
I am so sad to see them go. My life is forever enriched, seeing Jessika again. She was born (with her twin sister, Veronika) on the day I got out of the Navy. I wish they were my daughters.
Tomorrow it’s back to work for me. This morning my weigh in was 163.8, pounds an alarming new record low weight.
This is my back to work, weekend report after afour day weekend.
Thursday was an active day. I swam the half mile during my lunch hour, then I went on a night dive Thursday night. Below are a few pictures from the dive.

And now it’s back to work Tuesday. We had a good rain this morning and it’s still cloudy and spritzing. I hope everyone has a great week!
it was a good weekend. I got the apartment nice and clean, I fixed the gate, which was saggy. I repotted my avocado tree. I went diving and I went to the beach.
The water was rough and the visibility was poor yesterday. But it was still a nice dive, my first in about 3 weeks.
Today it’s back to work and tomorrow my mother and sister arrive to stay in the apartment.
