Happy Friday!

Above is a few photos from the week. Clockwise, cruise ships from roadside at the north end of Seven Mile Beach, taken a few days ago. Paypaya plants coming up after I had given up on them. My dusty head after drilling a 1 inch hole thru 8 inches of concrete. And the road from my walk this morning. I like taking a picture on this road . You’ll find other seemingly indentical shots scattered through these posts.

last night for supper, I ate an entire Domino’s small thin crust pizza in about 10 minutes. It was the first time I ordered a pizza in more than a year. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing. But I felt fine last night and this morning.

I was sleeping really well when the alarm went off this morning, my first thought was that there were two alarms. But I’m awake now, drinking coffee. At least I think I’m awake, how would I really know?

Late Night Snacks

Last night I went out for a late night (about 8:30 pm) snack. I ended up at a Venezuelan food truck and had a Pabellon. It was like a sandwich with beef and black beans and it was really really good. It was in sandwich form and was perfectly what I wanted and I didn’t even know what I wanted. I’ll be back there for sure.

I took a picture of it, but the picture doesn’t seem to be on my phone. I have noticed, that on this phone, the spacebar sometimes doesn’t work and frequently I take a picture and the picture doesn’t take. Quite annoying. I’ll have to be more careful in the future.

A Burger Of Burgers

This was my dinner last night. I double turkey cheeseburger. I wanted to cut down on the bread, so I made it a double instead of two burgers.

It was good!

Full Moon Phone Photo

Above is a photo I took this morning for the full moon setting. I took it with my phone. I know it’s not very good but I think it’s cool and the moon was beautiful.Today I have a follow-up check up about blood pressure.

And i ruined my breakfast. I poured a bowl of cereal and then when I poured the milk on, it was curdled it was good day before yesterday. I’m disappointed/angry.

Plus i don’t know if I mentioned it , but last Thursday my home internet quit and it’s still not fixed. I’m posting this using the cellular data plan. Crabby.

Spotted Eagle Ray Mate

My Spotted Eagle Ray now has a mate. It occurred to me that there needed to be another eagle ray on that blank spoton the wall, so I made it happen.

I like it a lot.

Last night I made a huge piece of salmon in on the grill. It was rather bland. I need a salmon recipe.

It was busy morning this morning. It was hard to get up, and I stayed up a little late and had to do my last night’s chores this morning.

Homegrown Estate Round 2

I’m getting the screenhouse ready for growing again. I cut the legs off the standing grow boxes and now they are grow boxes on the ground. (The bottoms started falling out quite some time ago).

I know cherry tomatoes and cucumbers grow well, I’m going to try some red and green peppers. I have 3 more similar growboxes that I can use for other things, such as lettuce, lettuce grows pretty good too. It’s a different type of lettuce than the kind that makes a big round head, Caribbean lettuce grows like a small bush and you can trim or pick leaves daily for your sandwich. Or salad.

It’s my Friday off but the work Christmas luncheon is today and I will attend that briefly.

Missed American Thanksgiving!

Yesterday, I didn’t even think about mentioning American Thanksgiving. I had a little turkey and stuffing with lunch and when I got home I had the 2nd half of a pot of chili I had made.

Is the first pot of chili I’ve made in years ears, needed salt.

I went to the eye doctor yesterday and the pressure inside my eyeball went down considerably because of the medicine. Eye drops and some pills. Now is a week of just eye drops to see if the pressure stays low. The normal pressure inside a human eyeball is 21, I had a 36 in my left and an incredible 52 in my right. After the week on medication I was very close to 21 and 21.

I can actually see the difference in my eyeball.

Today is another use it or lose it Friday. I don’t know what I’m going to do today. Laundry and mow I suppose, everyone I know is working pretty much.

Nov 2021 Already

Hard to believe it’s November already. Tropical storm Wanda formed in the Atlantic, that should be our last storm this year simply because there’s no more names in this year’s storm name list. Yeay!

I had a very nice weekend. .I went to movie night Thursday unfortunately by myself. Friday I don’t remember much. I got up early and went and saw my marriage counselor. (It’s like closing the barn door after the cow got away, I know.) Then I went and had a nice breakfast on the waterfront. I went to the beach to swim my half mile, and it was too rough. Later on at home, we had a good thunderstorm.

Starting (I guess) Friday, it was stormy and windy and cloudy and rainy almost all weekend. Yesterday I turned off the air conditioner for the 1st time point may or June. Hopefully I will enjoy a few months of lower electric bills.

It was too rough for diving or swimming all weekend, I did get in the sea and took a Long Beach walk with some friends.

Yesterday, although we didn’t dive all weekend we (our informal dive group) did go to a very nice brunch at Luca. And I forgot to take a damn picture , I meant to…

And now it’s a Monday morning November 1st. It’s still cloudy and we have weather and it’s supposed to rain again tonight. But I’m in very good spirits.

You are truly blessed to have such a holiday. Here, outside of the US, it’s not National Taco Day, (that would make it international taco day) but my heart will be with you as you celebrate your wonderful culture! Nothing is more American than the taco!
