I a very few minutes we leave for the airport. To Italy.
I hate leaving Cayman, although I look forward to Italy.
I feel like there is no better place on earth than right here right now. But going to Italy is better than having to go to work!!
I’m ready to go!
It was a good weekend. Uneventful, slow and seemed long.
Got up and ran the circuit this morning. My knees are creaky when I run.. I remember cross country in high school, how I used to glide when I ran. Now running is like going down stairs on a tricycle..
Two weeks from today we go to Italy. Can’t wait. Pretty soon the Wife’ll get out the suitcase and declare that it’s time to start packing.

Yesterday we harvested banana batch #2. Our first batch was very good. We had another batch start, but the bananaweight broke the stalk, and, well, this could have been batch number three.
It was a good weekend, seems long, which is good. Good weather lately. I’m not really ready for the workweek though.
I also hung up a shelf that holds pots and pans for the wife this weekend. She likes it, and that makes me happy. The Wife was all busy this weekend, cooking and cleaning and buzzing around while I just kind of lazed around and took naps.

31 years ago today, I got out of the Navy after six years active duty and six months inactive. I joined on the Delayed Entry Program 15 Sep 1978 and went to boot camp 15 March 1979. They send you home the day before, ’cause I guess technically you’re still in while you travel.
I went at NTC Great Lakes, for almost two years, for boot camp and Electronics Technician School, then I got stationed in Pearl Harbor on board the USS Somers DDG 34. I also went to some schools at Mare Island, north of San Fransisco.

It seems like my wife has been gone a long time, but it’s only been two days. (I almost typed “an eternity” instead of “two days). She’s coming back today.
However, it seems like I just left work, and now I’m going back in already.
So, on one hand, it seems like a very long weekend, and on the other, it seefms like a very short weekend.
That’s the long and short of it!

I had a very good weekend, Saturday was restful with a long nap and viiting some friends. Sunday was beach and give-the-dog-a-bath day.
I’m not dreading the start of the week like I normally am, I got a feeling it’s going to be an OK week.
Alittle explanation about my “deleted post” . It was nothing, unnecessary whining that had no business being here.

UGH. Monday. It was a nice, quiet, cool windy Valentines Day weekend. We went out to dinner Saturday and beat the Sunday crowds.
Don’t have much to write about this morning. The weather should be relatively good. Scooter day.
The Wife is talking about a trip to Monument Valley in May, our annual vacation. Sounds pretty good to me.
We’ll see how it pans out.

My wife got me a Fitbit Charge, she’s had one a while and likes it. I expressed an interest and she surprised me!
It seems pretty cool. It’s fun entering all the info from the food you eat, keeping track of everything. I especially like the bar code scanner.
It measures your activity during the day, and how you sleep at night.
I wear it in the shower, but not in the sea, not sure how waterproof it is.. I’ll find out, but I’m pretty sure you can’t take it diving.
Superbowl was yesterday. Both teams sucked. Denver had no third down conversions but won it. Carolina didn’t play well at all either.
It’s Monday, I’m tired and crabby. It’s cold and wwindy outside…Good day for working, if there ever was

Believe it or not, it’s time to flip the page on the calendar in 2016 already. 2016 came off the line quickly, it appears. January is gone already.
It was an allright weekend. Friday we went to a birthday party at The Wharf restaurant bar. Big waves were crashing all around. We stayed out quite late, and had a sleepy Saturday.
Sunday, we went to the weigh-in at a fishing tournament, had dinner. Then we went to the beach, just after sunset. Quite a nice way to end the weekend.
