I had a good weekend. Halloween Party Friday, Mow-the-yard Saturday and Football Sunday. Redskins lost, RG3 is back.

For me, this has been the worst year for NFL Football that I can ever remember. Without exception, whatever game I have watched or looked at, the team I want to win has lost.
I wanted to watch one good game yesterday. Nary a one.
Woke up last night at 2 AM, my first thought was “Good, it’s still early enough to go to sleep”. At 3:30 I was thinking “In a half hour, the I’ll only have an hour before I have to get up.” I seem to have insomnia only on weeknights. I sleep good on the weekends.
These birds just landed next to me.

I calculated that I needed 6 bags of dirt. (potting soil), three for these two giant pots, and one for something and one for something and another for something else.
I filled the two giant pots and now have three bags of dirt I can’t remember what for.
When I went to the store and asked for six bags or dirt, I got a blank stare. It was funny. Then I said “potting soil” and the lady said “Ohhhhh” and we both started laughing.

It was a very nice weekend. Saturday was a little cloudy, but Sunday was gorgeous. Now I’m here, drinking coffee, ready for work.
Last night I had a dream that if you have vertical stripes on your shirt, your pants should have horizontal stripes and vice versa. It is a faux pas to wear aligned stripes on your pants and shirts.

I also had a dream of being improperly dressed at work. I was wearing a brand new pair of blue jeans, walking down the hall, hoping nobody would say anything.

Monday morning again, it’s hazy and gray. The sun coming up this morning looks just like the sun did setting last night. I don’t ever recall any weather quite like this in Cayman. Breezy yet hot.
Five days and a wake up till vacation. Very eager to go.
It was forecast to be windy this weekend, so I didn’t take the boat out. It didn’t turn out to be so bad. I need a trailer hitch, so I have some independence.
I mowed the yard yesterday, and The Wife did some landscaping. Looks goooooooood!

Last night I went to bed at 10 and woke up at 12. I was awake for a long time, at least two or three. Next thing I know the alarm is going off and it was hard to wake up, I was out cold.
July 4th is a Thursday, if I lived in the US, I’d take Friday off and have a long long weekend.
In Cayman, yesterday was our last holiday till November. Lucky I am taking some vacation time this fall..
I might go to my 35 year high school reunion, I’ve never been to one….. It’s in September…

There is a tiny, very well camouflaged, fish in this pic, about 2 inches long. Can you see it?
Giant Grouper, 3 feet long. There were a lot of groupers on this dive, which is good. Grouper is endangered. No real scuba diver eats grouper.
Monday again. Ya know, I’ve noticed that it’s only the first five days after the weekend that are the hardest. Yever notice that?
Fridays birthday party was canceled
Saturday I went to the beach
Sunday, I intended to go diving or go to the beach but I was doing tasks around the house and before I knew it it was too late to go. After having my lawnmower stolen I etched my name in my kayaks and my wheelbarrow. And I fixed my kayak stand.
Also, I possibly smoked my last cigar. I was planning on quitting after I finished my collection, and I smoked the one I was saving for last. A 2009 torpedo that I had saved from a cigar dinner. Unavailable anywhere. It was alright, there were others in my collection that were better. I don’t really want to quit, I like cigars, but the wife wants me to, so there ya have it.
Udinese did good this week, holding their own against Roma. 1-1
I need a new lawnmower, and new pool filter pump and a new de-humidifier for my downstairs store room, so even though I’ve been trying to not spend any money this month to get ahead, I can see I’ll be trying to not spend any for the next two months at least.
I dread this week, I expect a lot of Bull Shit.

Monday, the first full week of 2013. Today all the vacationers should be back at work, traffic will be terrible and it will be a Monday to make Mondays proud. I just want to keep my nose buried in work and be unaware of the happenings outside the confines of my desk area. Just keep to myself and get this day out of the way.
I was all pissed off last night at the Redskins suicide loss, but now I’m just sad. Pathetic. Now I can go to the beach or go diving instead of watching football. Maybe I’ll watch on Sunday…
It was a good weekend, I stayed home, the wife had to work Saturday, and I floated in the pool and smoked cigars. I didn’t leave the house all weekend.
