Two Days Till Thursday

Well, Monday is gone. now it’s Tuesday. payday is day after tomorrow.

Last night we went to dinner at Macabuca. It was pretty good food and there was a nice sunset.

Yesterday in town it rained hard almost all day. West Bay didn’t get drop. I couldn’t go on my beach lunch yesterday because of the rain and I was on the scooter. Now it’s nice and clear but I wonder it’s going to rain again today. 30 percent chance haha!

We’ve had a new coffee maker now for about a week. I suppose it makes acceptable coffee. It is one of those Keurig kinds with the canister.

My studying has been going extremely slow. I’m afraid I’m going to have to get up even earlier in order to study and accomplish anything.

That’s it for today. Have a terrific Tuesday!

I could post a lot more pictures, but I won’t. These are un-edited from my camera.
I didn’t bring my camera charger. When the battery dies,  I’ll be stuck with only my phone camera…
The weather is great! I saw that it is raining hard in Cayman.

Good Monday Morning To You!

Back to work today. What a weekend. Saturday flew by. Saturday I looked at my watch and it was 11:30, five minutes later, it was 2:30, and five minutes after that it was 5:15! Today they should be delivering the boat we won, Holy  Cow, it’ll be real then!

Sunday we went snorkeling, and The Wife tested out her new Underwater Camera, a Nikon  AW 100. Blue.

She got some good shots even though visibility was crappy.

Yesterday I let the chickens out around noon, and when we got home from the beach they were nowhere to be found. We were afraid we lost them but at sunset, all four came home and didn’t even try to get away when I picked them up and put them in their cage. It was very  pleasing.

There has been another lost chick around all weekend, this morning I put her in the cage with ours, She is barely bigger than an egg. The Wife won’t be pleased.

It rained hard this morning but  now it’s all clear… Scooter or car? Scooter or car?

HAVE A GOOD WEEK!

Friday Flashback

I was stoked to post  my Flashback Friday this morning. But my computer screen went dead again for the first time since the other day.
That’s my flashback, my screen going dead the other day…. and today. Wow, far out! Trippy man!
Have a good weekend! Still raining here!

No Rain Here

Monday again. The weather for this weekend just finished called for rain rain rain. There were big dark clouds and thunder all weekend but no rain here. Maybe a hundredth of an inch.

Wanna hear something funny? I can’t find the log on link for my blog , I have it at work but not here. I’m posting this on my phone. But, on the other hand,  my computer seems to be working much better with the new hard drive. Think about it, the hard drive is the only moving part on the computer. When things get weird, try a new hard drive.

Bought a new lawnmower this weekend. ANOTHER new lawnmower. I wrote down the serial number and etched my name in the metal. This one better not get ripped off…
It’s so dry and dusty that I don’t want to mow. All the “grass” is gone and just the straggly weeds are left. Like a balding guy trying to hide his baldness,  you look and you can see the dirt through the “grass”.

It’s a holiday in the USA but not here. I’m going to work. ..

Computer Died

Yesterday I replaced the hard drive on my computer, installed the OS and had it going, looking good.
This morning I started ‘er up to post my post and the display went dead. Seems to be fukt.
But I’m not going to mess with it now.
I’ve needed a new laptop for a long time, so has The Wife.
Looks like we might get some rain today.

Friday!

Damp Weather Damper

I should be in a much better mood. I should be looking forward to the weekend that starts in just 9 hours. (Holiday Friday and holiday Monday.) But I’m not. This damp weather is putting a damper on my good mood and my weekend outlook.20130328_064127My view from right here right now.

Also they’re going to start building next door. Over two years ago, I agreed to let them build 10 feet from the property line. Now they’ve changed their plans and I’ve changed my mind. I just want to save the trees that give us privacy on our back porch. Today I have to call the Planning Department and see what can be done, if anything.

Hurriane Sandy

Now that Sandy is gone, we’re getting more wind than when she was close. She was supposed to die off after crossing Jamaica, and curve right, out to sea, but now she’s staying a hurricane and curving left to hit the US east coast.

Read the article here:

With a rare mix of three big merging weather systems over a densely populated region, experts predict at least $1 billion in damage.

The stage is set as Hurricane Sandy continues to barrel north. A wintry storm is chugging across the country from the west. And frigid air is streaming south from Canada.

And if they meet Tuesday morning around New York or New Jersey, as forecasters predict, they could create a big, wet mess that settles over the nation’s most heavily populated corridor and reaches as far west as Ohio.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecaster Jim Cisco, who coined the nickname Frankenstorm, said: “We don’t have many modern precedents for what the models are suggesting.”

And the storm will take its time leaving. The weather may not start clearing in the mid-Atlantic until the day after Halloween and Nov. 2 in the upper Northeast, Cisco said.

“It’s almost a weeklong, five-day, six-day event,” he said, “It’s going to be a widespread, serious storm.”

It is hitting during a full moon, when tides are near their highest, increasing the risk of coastal flooding. And because many trees still have their leaves, they are more likely to topple in the event of wind and snow, meaning there could be widespread power outages.

I remember the book, “The Perfect Storm” The book was better than the movie, (as usual) but in the movie weather maps, I could understand how the storm was forming up better than just in the book, with no pictures. This reminds me of “The Perfect Storm”

Saturday! Nope.

Woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday. It just dawned on me it’s Friday.
Here it is raining. Supposed to be rainy till Monday nite. The yard coulda used mowing yesterday.
Monday is my first day of work at the new job. I used to have this little tabletop ironing board. Lately I’m wondering “whatever happened to that little tabletop ironing board?” That’s because I think I’ll need to have decent looking clothes for this job.
You can probably tell, I’m still on my first cuppa coffee.
I just saw our cats butt. He has worms. (LT, (Long Tail)) That means they all probably do.
I guess that’s it for today. I bet in one week I’ll be gladder it’s Friday than I an now! I’m eager to get started at the new job and get the beginning out of the way!
Have a gooooooooood weekend!

Monday Easypost

When I go diving on the weekend, it makes for an easy post on Monday, ’cause all I do is post some photos. Like these from yesterday at East End.

I am heading out relatively early this morning, for some work. It is cloudy and raining a little right now, and I am thankful for this rain. I planted a bunch of plants next to the new driveway yesterday and I hope they take off!

Have a good week!
