Bittersweet Friday

This morning the wife left for Florida for the weekend. I’m home alone already and it’s weird because I normally get dressed in the dark and walk around the house with my little flashlight and keep quiet with my wife sleeping. And now all the lights are on my wife’s gone I’m walking around openly and it’s just weird.

Gonna be a long weekend, I’m working a Caytronics sound job. Loaded up the car last night, set up straight after work.

Quite windy and chilly this morning. Funny sinc I was just talking about winter being over.

Well, that’ll do for this morning. Have a great wekend!

On Our Way Home

Checkout time is noon. Flight at three. Home about ten PM tonight.
Yesterday, we planned on hanging around the resort, but ended up going to Playa Del Carmen. We said goodbye to our friends who live here.
Then we came back to the resort and started saying goodbye to our new friends from the wedding, most of whom are leaving today for Canada.
And some pics from yesterday.

Talk to you again tomorrow!

One Day & A Wakeup! Plus A Long Ramble

Tomorrow we go to Mexico! I don’t even know why I’m even bothering going to work today!

It was  a 50/50 weekend.

We didn’t go to a wedding on Saturday, we’re going to a wedding in Mexico.

The wife worked Sunday, she came home with sandwiches, she accidently gave me the wrong sandwich, I ate it. She got super super mad at me for not noticing. I was watching American football, not paying attention along those lines, her sandwich was completely different than mine. I should have noticed. One time at Subway, I ordered a chicken sandwich. I ate it and it was excellent. After that, the worker came up and asked me if my sandwich had chicken on it. I said I don’t know, but it was excellent. They found a piece of chicken in the  microwave and figured it was supposed to go in my sandwich. I thought and thought, but couldn’t remember if there was chicken in my sandwich or not. But I remember it was good. the other day we went to a restaurant, I ordered a beef sandwich. I was terrible. Tasted like charcoal, literally. The manager came over when I was almost done, and asked how everything was, I said terrible, tastes like charcoal. She gave me a weird look, ’cause I was woofin’ it down. I said “Hey, you asked”. I have these two teeth that gets food stuck between them. When I got home and jammed a toohpick between those teeth and got out the hunk of meat from that sandwich I could taste it again. It was terrible tasting.  Charcoal. I don’t care about food. Eating and sleeping are wastes of time, and if I didn’t have to do them, I wouldn’t.

Football-wise his weekend was opposite of last weekend. Almost all my teams lost. And the Redskins got hammered like they hammered last week.

Did you ever see the movie “The Matrix”? Where the cat walks by twice and Neo says “Whoa, deja vu”? It’s hapening to me, our cat, Ashy, keeps walking by. She’s doing laps, in the laundry door, through the kitchen, out the dining room door to the back porch and under my table. Again and again, like the Matrix movie.

Let me out of here, I gotta go to work.

Have a good week, I might not post tomorrow, I’ll be going to the airport.

When It’s Friday

I can’t think of anything else to talk about. I work today, then Monday, then we’re off to MEXICO!
Hopefully I’ll get the prescription lenses for my new glasses today, then I’ll look like Morphus….

Im still at the fundraiser/dinner. I am exhastificated. O stayed up past 12:30 last night and got up at 4:30 this morning.
Flew to Miami and got hasseled by customs or TSA ( inhindsight, I don’t know which agency my tormentors were from) when I arrived. They x-rayed my bags and wanted to know how much money I brought with me. Then I they turned me loose in these weird narrow hallways where I’d never been before. Plus it was an hour after we landed that the bags starrted coming out at baggage claim.
So I’m tired.. Vewwy vewwy tired.

Two Anchored Ships

Took these two pictures of two anchored ships while having a coffee with the wife yesterday afternoon. I like the top one better, she likes the bottom.

The wife went to Miami for work, two days. She’ll be back in 31 hours.

It is quite cool this morning, cloudy and will probably rain.

Have a good day!

Home From Canada

We’re home from Canada. Got back yesterday afternoon. Glad to be home, sad to have left Canada. It was good, we were there for their two weeks of summer. It will be freezing in a couple of weeks, I was told.

I definitely miss my brother in law and sister in law though. They are the coolest couple.

Travlin Tim took a fall on vacation, and  has been glued back together…. again, but he’s missing the tip of his hat. Somehow he came out of his seatbelt after our helicopter ride.

I’m back to work Wednesday, not looking forward to that.

Slept 11 hours last night, I needed it, apparently.
