Another Happy Friday

After a week that seemed like Monday every day, it’s good to have a Friday.

we had a little rain last night, my porch tiles were wet, but the road wasn’t. Very little rain, but we’ll take what we can get at this point. This week we had a good flooding in town without a drop up here in West Bay..

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cyclone Gabrielle – New Zealand

Cyclone Gabrielle hit New Zealand yesterday and New Zealand has declared a National Emergency for only the third time ever

I have a couple friends there that I’ll be calling later. (7AM here is 1AM there)

Cyclone Gabrielle is now forecast to pass over the Great Barrier Reef, east of Australia. It gets warmer and warmer as one heads north, so Gabrielle may get stronger and stronger.

Something to keep an eye on.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Walking and Diving

It was a good weekend, Saturday was the 5K walk / run.

Sunday was a nice dive, although we had to shift the dive spot from south to north.

it was nice dive with a stingray and boxfish that posed for me. And the stingray let me pose with her!

And now it’s back to work on a Monday

Have a great week!

Wait A Few Days

I have no idea what I’m going to post about today.

Refering to yesterday and my lost Kindle Scribe case, there is no employee by the name given by the Amazon driver. And the office wasn’t even open that day it was allegedly delivered. Amazon is looking into it, and will email me in a few days, but my gut says gone.

Also missing is a Washington Commie shirt. Allegedly delivered by DHL. My delivery agent says it’s probably at the post office, we should wait a few days..

So I’m waiting a few days….

Its almost Friday, unfortunately there is allegedly a nuther weather system moving in to spoil the weekend..

c’est la vie. That’s French. It means Say La Vee. Say La Vee means: Don’t lose any sleep over it.

Ciao (That’s Italian. It means Chow, see you at suppertime!)

Back To Work 2023

Well, its back to work this morning. I’m looking forward to getting back to the routine

Yesterday was my 32nd birthday. I entered the program when I was 30, 32 years ago.

Surprising this morning, rain. It was wet when I went out for my morning exercise, but cloudlessly clear when I walked the dogs. Just now a 30 second, heavy rain shower passed by. Surprising. It’s good!

If you’re back to work for the first time this year, good luck Enjoy. Attitude is everything. It’s going to be a good day!

Wet Wednesday

this weather has kind of thwarted my vacation plans of diving, going to the beach, and doing yard work.. yesterday, around noon we had a few Sunny hours but then it re-clouded and re-rained. I’m not as upset by the cancellation of my plans as I would think I would be, which is okay. However I cannot fathom the disappointment and frustration that you, my millions of daily readers, must be experiencing, as this inactivity leads to my lack of material to post about.

I will try to not let it bother me, please try to do the same. Have a good day and stay dry.

Like A Hurricane

The wind is blowing so hard, it’s like a little hurricane outside. Not as bad as depicted in the picture above but the weather is gray and rainy and relatively cold for the tropical Cayman Islands. We are under the front that gave the winter storm to North America. According to the weatherman, it will remain stationary and dissipate. That means we’ll probably have this same weather for several more days. It’s been several days already, but so far is showing no signs of easing up. There has been no diving or beach for me this vacation.. it’s been largely a stay indoor vacation, but it ain’t over yet!

have a wonderful Tuesday!

No Mans Land

No Mans Land, the time between xmas and New Years. Historically, more people have asked me “what day is it today?” during this week than any other. I’ve already asked myself that very question this morning, counting on my fingers the days till I have to return to work.(7)

Also, interestingly, I heard a blurb on the BBC news this morning: more babies are conceived on this day (Boxing Day) than any other. Is your birthday in September? End of September?

And lastly, here the weather sucks. Howling wind. Driving cold rain, complete cloud cover. The Arctic storm that hit North America has parked here, and will be around until it dissapates. Yeay…

Have a great week, don’t bother keeping track of time, I hope you get laid!

Things Named Artemis

NASA just launched a rocket called Artemis to the moon. It has an empty crew capsule, will orbit the moon, return to Earth, and splashdown into the Pacific. There’s an article for you to read HERE.

I am also reading a book entitled Artemis by Andy Weir, (who also wrote The Martian, which became a movie.)

I have been pretty much unable to put the book down since I started it a few days ago.

Artemis is (was?) a Greek goddess. She was very affiliated with the moon, as you can see HERE.

(Not sure if the above image is Artemis or Diana. I guess Diana is the Roman version of Artemis)

Anyway, it’s my Thursday off. It started POURING rain about sunrise strong winds and driving rain. I don’t know what’s going on weatherwise. But it doesn’t matter, I’m just going to be reading my book.

Have a great day!
