It’s a cold rainy Friday. It’s been raining for days. I’ve been driving the car not the motorcycle all week.
I haven’t been to the beach since Monday at lunch time.
I’ve discovered I don’t care about the weekends if it’s going to be raining,
I just deleted a long rant about work because it was not appropriate for this blog. I try to remain politically neutral here.
I’m going to get going now, and wish you a happy weekend.
I think foul weather makes me insane.
After what seemed like a long, slow week, it’s Finally Friday. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that this will be a fast, short weekend. The Wife has mentioned several “Little” things throughout the week that she wants to do this weekend. And I have the vague notion that she’s got us booked pretty solid. She’s working Saturday and I’m bringing the boat home.

Monday morning again, it’s hazy and gray. The sun coming up this morning looks just like the sun did setting last night. I don’t ever recall any weather quite like this in Cayman. Breezy yet hot.
Five days and a wake up till vacation. Very eager to go.
It was forecast to be windy this weekend, so I didn’t take the boat out. It didn’t turn out to be so bad. I need a trailer hitch, so I have some independence.
I mowed the yard yesterday, and The Wife did some landscaping. Looks goooooooood!

Can you believe it? August already.
I don’t have much to say today. Fed the chickens and cats, walked the dogs and fed them. We got a new coffee pot and today’s the second day it’s been used. Still tastes like crap.
Glad tomorrow’s Friday. I was asking my New Zealand friend yesterday if it was Friday yet. Wasn’t then but I’m sure it is now!
I’m having black beans for breakfast. And cheese.
My wife is working Saturday, Coming up is our last Saturday before Vacation!

Back to work today. What a weekend. Saturday flew by. Saturday I looked at my watch and it was 11:30, five minutes later, it was 2:30, and five minutes after that it was 5:15! Today they should be delivering the boat we won, Holy Cow, it’ll be real then!
Sunday we went snorkeling, and The Wife tested out her new Underwater Camera, a Nikon AW 100. Blue.
She got some good shots even though visibility was crappy.
Yesterday I let the chickens out around noon, and when we got home from the beach they were nowhere to be found. We were afraid we lost them but at sunset, all four came home and didn’t even try to get away when I picked them up and put them in their cage. It was very pleasing.
There has been another lost chick around all weekend, this morning I put her in the cage with ours, She is barely bigger than an egg. The Wife won’t be pleased.
It rained hard this morning but now it’s all clear… Scooter or car? Scooter or car?

Got back from Cayman Brac yesterday evening. Had a really good time. Went to a Star Trek party in the Bat Cave, saw lots of friends, ate a lot, rested a lot and the time there was way too short. Below are pictures.

Bad news this morning, my friend, Percy, died yesterday. He was 97 years old. He used to walk around our cul-de-sac for exercise and I used to talk to him. He was from Cuba and referred to Fidel Castro’s government as “this new government” Every time he saw me he’d say “Hi Mark! How are you?!?” He is being buried in Cuba this weekend. I was hoping he’d make it to 100 years old, at least.
When I woke up this morning, the dawgs were desperate to go outside. So I took them before my shower instead of after. I saw Perceys grandson and he told me. Everything happens for a reason…
No plans this weekend, wife’s working Saturday…
Yesterday I got my Nexus 7. I’m typing this on that.So far, I like it, but I’ve barely started using it after charging the battery.
Yesterday I also got an email from Trip Advisor, asking me to remove my link to their site from my November 10th, 2010 post. First I said no, but The Wife said “why not?” so I said “why not?” too and took it off. The post was a good review of Tim Buk Tuu restaurant here in West Bay, Grand Cayman. The email said that my link was reducing traffic to their link. I doubt it.
I’m glad the weekend is almost here, and glad today is payday.
Monday again. The weather for this weekend just finished called for rain rain rain. There were big dark clouds and thunder all weekend but no rain here. Maybe a hundredth of an inch.
Wanna hear something funny? I can’t find the log on link for my blog , I have it at work but not here. I’m posting this on my phone. But, on the other hand, my computer seems to be working much better with the new hard drive. Think about it, the hard drive is the only moving part on the computer. When things get weird, try a new hard drive.
Bought a new lawnmower this weekend. ANOTHER new lawnmower. I wrote down the serial number and etched my name in the metal. This one better not get ripped off…
It’s so dry and dusty that I don’t want to mow. All the “grass” is gone and just the straggly weeds are left. Like a balding guy trying to hide his baldness, you look and you can see the dirt through the “grass”.
