Dawg With a Reputation

Last week, my Dog Ditto’s leash broke and he escaped for about an hour.
He was flying around the neighborhood, running at full speed, chasing chickens.
When he got tired, he came home, muddy, bloody, scratched up, missing a toenail, and bleeding from another.

Over the weekend, a neighbor gave my wife this report:

“He’s really fast, and I saw him eat a whole chicken. I was afraid to approach him, because he was eating the chicken, but he really knows what he’s doing, not every dog can eat a chicken like that.”

Once, back in the days I let him free on the beach, I saw him eat a chicken. He disappeared then reappeared down the beach a ways, chicken in jaws. I ran over to get it away from him, but by the time I got there, he had eaten the whole chicken. All that was left was feathers and one red, bloody organ that I thought was a kidney or liver. It looked like a bloody golf ball. Freakin surgical. I wasn’t down the beach too far either, a couple hundred meters.

He really knows how to woof em down!

Snatch

I watched the movie “Snatch” last night. I have seen it several times, I had it on VHS, but finally got a copy on DVD. It is one of my favorite movies of all time. I think last night was the first time I’ve seen it with subtitles. No matter how many times I watch it, it’s still good!
If you haven’t seen it, watch it and then report back to me here!

What a joke

Obama winning the Peace Prize, what has he done? Nothing. He hasn’t been in office a year yet.
It devalues the Nobel Peace Prize.

I say watch Obama, he’s part used car salesman, a con man. He’s a good talker who can make you believe what he’s saying.

I’m not saying he is going to be a bad US President, but I’m not saying he’ll be a good one either.

It’s still too early to tell.

Way too early to give him the Nobel Peace Prize.

From now on, for me, the Nobel Peace Prize is meaningless. Worthless nothing.

Associated Press:

The prize seems to be more for Obama’s promise than for his performance. The Nobel committee cited as his key accomplishment “a new climate in international politics.” The president has become “the world’s leading spokesman” for its agenda, the committee said.

He has no standout moment of victory. Not surprising. Like most presidents in their first year, Obama’s scorecard so far is largely an “incomplete,” if he’s being graded.

So true

Booted By The Dentist

I went to the dentist yesterday at 9:30, only to get booted because my appointment was for a half hour and it was supposed to be for an hour. I was rescheduling it and suddenly there was a cancellation at 11 AM. I went back to work, and then there was an emergency and when 11 rolled around I was too busy and had to cancel. Now that appointment is in January of the year twenty-ten. I still have two more between then and now as I need to have 3 fillings replaced. Today is my Friday! I’m supposed to have the day off tomorrow.

Here’s some lunchtime pics from yesterday.

More brain coral
That same old buoy again
Kids jumping.

Today

Today I go to work for a couple hours, then the dentist for some deep drilling and filling. Then a long lunch and back to work for a late afternoon Outside Broadcast.

Here’s some pictures of some birds in the backyard. Except one.

Infuriating

I just can’t believe the US.
Needs new management.
I’m not a big fan of murder-rapists, but first they kill an innocent person, then they torture and don’t kill the guilty.
They ought to just chop their head off or something. What is this lethal injection humane painless killing crap?
IT DON’T WORK

Sunday, at Rum Point

Yesterday we went to Rum Point. The water is so shallow you can walk all the way from shore and you can walk from boat to boat. It was a lot of fun, a lot of boats, sun and a 360 Degree video I made. The camera was in an underwater case so there isn’t good audio though. Sorry

Bunch of Stuff

My Mom has moved out of the apartment where my Dad and she used to live. She cleared out the storage unit that came with the apartment, so she sent me all the stuff (junk) that was down there, as well as an antique table that we always had when I was growing up. Also she sent me this ancient chest that I collected pictures, letters, Concert ticket stubs, and general stuff. I have a LIFE Magazine from 1969 when Man walked on the moon, two first edition comic books. Navy pictures and books, Summer camp pictures! (1960’s). My Dads Boy Scout books from the 1930’s. yearbooks And more.
