Last week I found myself complaining about wordpress, thinking about going back to blogger. I went back and read my posts about blogger before I moved to wordpress, and decided I can’t go back. I need another option. So Friday I purchased the domain www.markd60.com I should be getting the passwords so I can upload today. But it will take some time to figure out how to set things up blogstyle…..
It was a good weekend. Redskins won, Dallas lost. I was working on some computers, none successfully. My Mom called, and we talked for a pretty long time. (My Mom hardly ever calls, I call her)
I wanted to go diving, but didn’t.. There was a Breast Cancer Awareness dive this weekend. The wife had a sore back, so we didn’t dive. It was cloudy and sunny and rainy and you could never tell what the weather was going to do in the next five minutes all weekend. But it was a good weekend.

Another lost post by wordpress. I wrote a post, uploaded a photo, and I notice the photo was uploading to a different, new blank post. I hit the back button but all my typing was gone.

Now I’ve lost my sense of humor, along with my funny (I thought s0) post. I got $500 from my mortgage co. because of extra escrow. I wrote a long post complaining about it. It was funny.

ON yesterdays photos, I couldn’t make the captions for the images “stick”. I entered a paragraph for each photo and when I saved all changes, the captions weren’t there. Twice.

I’m starting to forget why WordPress was better than Blogger….

Here’s last weeks results and my next weeks hopes. I say hope laughingly, as I’ve all but given up for my Redskins. Last weekend I tested a superstition that if I watch THE WHOLE game, the Redskins will win. I did, they didn’t. So far the most accurate superstition is that if I watch, they lose.

Today I’m going to Cayman Brac for work. Looking forward to it! That means probably tomorrow will be picture day.

Today is my first Friday. Yesterday one of the girls told me today was “dress down” day, with jeans and polo shirt. I could really go overboard with this so I’m trying to be careful.Shirt with buttons and some black jeans that used to me my main dress pants.

I’m glad it’s Friday. I’ve almost made it through the first week.

Tryin’ to find a pic to upload, this is the view from my office.There are two glass doors that go out to the private planes parking. I took this from inside and the glass is heavily heavily tinted. So it looks weird, but I could feel the heat from the sun coming off the glass as I took this pic. Imagine with no tint….

I’m looking for ward to the weekend.

While I like my new job, I’m not used to the steady hours and I’m looking forward to the weekend.

Can’t think of much to say today. It looks like the clouds and intermittent rain have stopped after about a week. I need to figure a way to swim at lunch. There’s a shower at work, but I need to find a way to manage the clothing situation. I don’t wear a suit, Yellowdog Granny, but decent pants and shirt. I need to find a way to take ’em off at lunch and put ’em back on at the beach without ruining them. In days past I’ve always been able to wear shorts and a polo shirt, kind of the uniform I made for myself. Now I’m “smart casual”.

Need to find a workaround.

My boss mentioned the possibility of moving me up to a higher position already…. That’s good!

I survived my first day of work. Football this weekend was disappointing, even though my Skins win and Dallas lost, I wanted Dallas to beat Chicago. And the Skins won because I wasn’t watching.
