Birthday Club
Yesterday I had lunch with some ex co workers, Trish and Sophie.
It was nice to see them and spend a lunch hour with them. I think I’m now part of their birthday club. They’ve been getting together twice a year for each others birthdays.
Trish left Radio Cayman probably 10 years before I did. Sophie probably about 4 or 5 years before me.
I’m ready for the weekend. …
PS: I got the dive box back….
Cousins Visit
Yesterday I took the day off because my cousin was visiting on a cruise ship. Below are pictures.

It was good seeing them! Last time we saw them was on a previous cruise ship visit, about 3 years ago. Before that was when we went to the USA and saw my Mom and the house.

Good Bye Dear Dive Box!
I’ve had this dive box for more than 25 years. I used it all over the East Coast of the USA when I was diving up there. It was superior to any kind of bag to hold your scuba gear.
Since I’ve been in Cayman, it has been storing dive gear in the basement, cracking as it got older and older.
Finally, the other day while cleaning, I decided to throw it away, with great reluctance and agony. Good by good dive box, you will never be forgotten.
The Art of Mowing
It was a good weekend. Cleaned the yard after the fencers left, cleaned up my workbench downstairs.
I also mowed the yard for the first time since the fence was put in. It is a completely different experience.
I used to mow the side, then the front, then the other side and part of the back, then the rest of the back. Now, because of the driveway, I can’t get to the front from the side. So, I mow the yard starting with the outside of the fence, then the side, then most of the back, then part of the back, the other side and part of the front, then the rest of the front.
Maybe in the future, I’ll post a diagram.. Seems necessary.

You Know You’re Old When…
On the news, Conan Obrian is taking over the Tonight Show from Jay Leno. I remember it was just the other day when Jay Leno took it over from Johnny Carson.
Although I meant to, I never got around to watching the show with Jay Leno. I saw Johnny Carson often enough.
I was working when Leno took over and I’m still working now. It would be nice to make enough to retire someday. Can’t see it happening for me. I’ll probably be working till the day I die. At least I can go to the beach at lunch!

UPDATE! I just found out Jimmy Fallon is taking over, not Conan O’Brian. Sorry for the fuckup. To my knowledge, I never saw Fallon or Conan on TV either.
Movie “Last Vegas”
The Wife and I watched this movie the other day, it was very good. I was surprised at how good it was.
A bunch of old guys, who have been friends forever, go to Las Vegas for the sworn bachelors wedding.
One of the guys is mad at another of the guys because he didn’t come to his wife’s funeral. Later on in the movie we find our why, and why that fella remained a bachelor for so long.
That and there’s an equally interesting plot going on with each of the other characters too.
Very good movie, Definitely worth watching.

Post Super Bowl Workday.
Monday morning, it was hard to wake up this morning. We went to a Superbowl party last night and loved watching the Seahawks destroy the Broncos.
It was a good party with lots of food and friends. I ate too much and slept too little.
Why is the Super Bowl on Sunday night? Should be a Saturday night.
This minute I’m feeding cats and soon I’ll be drinking coffee.
And it’s Monday.
