Very interesting beach sound

Link

If you click the link above, and download the 31 second audio clip, you will hear waves from the ocean hitting the beach. You will also hear an unusual clacking sound. The recording was made by me on the beach pictured below. The clacking sound is the sound of thousands of those round rocks hitting each other in the surf.

I had never heard that sound before, so I recorded it. I think it is truly amazing and unique. I hope you like it and leave a comment.

Peggy’s Cove

Yesterday we went to Peggys Cove. Cute little town with a lighthouse.

Then we had lunch at a place called The Finer Diner. What a great name! Good food too,

Last night we went to a food truck party. Quite ineresting, Abou 20 food trucks. I didn’t get any pictures.

Today is our last day in Nova Scotia, tonight we fly to Toronto, tomorrow, CAYMAN!!!!

7K Hike

Yeserday we made a long trek with a tour guide that was quite nice. There was also a Woman from Austrailia named Jenny with us. We started after about a 1 and a half hour drive from Halifax.

On the top pic, I drew a yellow line depicting roughly our path. Using the second pic, you can find the location and zoom in.

Below are various pictures from the hike.

After that we had lunch and went to Lunenberg a small fishing village.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Yesterday and today and tomorrow we are in Halifax. Yesterday we walked around and also saw our friend who used to live in Cayman, Alexandria.

Below is a sundial in a famous Victorian Garden. It was an hour off, probably because of Daylight Savings Time. I don’t rememeber the name of the famous victorian garden…. I think it’s something weird and impossble to remember, like “City Park” or something.

Pretty flowers…

Water Fowl. This guy was big!

We climbed up a giant hill to the Citadel (I need to look that word up in the dictionary) Probably means fort.

It was a nice view before the buildings.

Today we have an 8 hour walking tour with the Maritime Museum.

Losing My Ability To Fly?

I am now sitting on a flight from Sakatoon, Canada to Ottawa. The plane is a Bombardier CRJ705. I am kinda going crazy. I’m not fat, but I can’t fit in my seat. My elbows stick out over the armrests. It is uncomfortable trying to keep them in and not encroach on my wifes space. Lucky there’s not a stranger sitting next to me, or if there was a fat person, I’d have to make a complaint to the flight crew. I notice more and more the increasingly confining space lately when I fly. Sometimes it is near claustrophobic. Extremely uncomfortable. I used to love to fly, I still think I do, but I’m noticing that when I get seated, it is not as exciting as it used to be. It is sometimes unpleasant, bordering on intolerable..

I think maybe from now on, I may need to fly first class.

In Saskatoon

This morning we are in Saskatoon, Sasketchawan, Canada. It was 89F when we got out of the car yesterday afternoon..

We drove from Ghost Lake to Saskatoon, stopping at Drumheller Dinosaur museum on the way.

It was quite nice, and a long drive. Now, my brother in law is driving back to Ghost Lake all by himself. I appreciate him giving us a ride so far.

AND today is the wedding.

Have a great day!

Thursday In Canada

We’re still at my wifes brothers house. tomorrow, we head for Saskatoon. Yesterday we did a little shopping and sight-seeing. No, I did not buy the hat in the picture above.

Yesterday I got locked in our apartment for about two hours. The doorknob mechanism got wrecked. It took a locksmith and $240 to get me out. Now the door knob is taped shut and we’re operating purely on deadbolt.

Today, we’re going to a baby wolf recovery sanctuary. My wife will love baby wolves.

It is cold in the mornings and evenings and hot in the day. Here’s a picof me, posting this post.

That’s the brother-in-laws house in the background.

Going to get more coffee now. Wolf pics tomorrow.

Canada Continued

Ghost Lake from my brother in laws house.

Brother in law wakeboarding.

Elbow River.

My wifes bear encounter.

It’s been nice so far in Canada. Cold at night, warm in the sun at day. Meanwhile, at home, Hurricane Irma is threatening the whole Carribbean. Couplea days, we head to Saskatoon!

Canada Morning Two

We flew from Grand Cayman to Toronto Saturday afternoon, slept (not really) “spent the night”at the Toronto airport Saturday night. Flew to Calgary yesterday morning and the two days blended ont one long long day.

Travlin’ Tim getting to board the Air Canada flight in Grand Cayman.

View from our porch this morning. This is the dam at Ghost Lake, about half way between Canmore and Calgary.

Also, here are some sunset pics from the plane.

Today is Labor day here and in the US, Not sure what we’re doing today.

The weather is very crisp, nicer when the sun hits your face, less nice when it’s cloudy and a breeze starts.

More tomorrow, have a good day.
