Bizzy Weekend
Here it is again, another Monday. I had a pretty good weekend. We went and saw the movie “Now You See Me”, about a group of magicians who get together to rob banks. It was ok. We went to a friends housewarming party and I stayed up several hours past my bedtime. Yesterday, we went to the beach, and when we got home, The Wife made soft pretzels, after I said I liked them.
They are great! They’re what’s for lunch today!
Six weeks till we go to Florida on vacation, can’t wait.

Monday Mayhem
Woke up this morning to two sick dogs. I thought there were two, now I’m thinking only one. Ditto has this medicine that the doctor said if he gets sick, stop giving it to him. Well, I’m stopping. This morning after our walk, bloody diarrhea all over the living room. And Ditto was so humiliated I couldn’t even be mad at him. One of my New Years Eve wishes was that Ditto would be healthy and happy for 2014, but I don’t know if he’s going to make it. I can tell he’s in pain.
It was a good weekend, went to the beach Saturday, and Sunday, went to a Guy Harvey Earth Day Mangrove cleanup. After the cleanup we had lunch at Morgans Harbor. Below are some videos and photos from both.

Rambling Wednesday
Here we are, at hump day. When this week started, I thought it’d never end, but it’s not going too badly.
At work it is the annual flight check. An aircraft comes in with equipment to check all our equipment. It’s my first one and so far, very interesting. Except for minor adjustments, I don’t think they have found anything wrong.
Yesterday I had my scooters 3000K maintenance done. They didn’t find anything wrong there either, but I think they turned the idle down a little, and it doesn’t seem to coast as well. I have to check it more though, I haven’t ridden it much since I got it back.
I want to start swimming after work again. I used to swim every day, and kind of quit when I got the first scooter, because I didn’t have anyplace to put my laptop when I swam, now I don’t carry a laptop so it seems I can start swimming again. It would be better if I got off at 4 instead of 4:30. However, getting off at 4:30 is better than getting off at 5..
I guess I’m just rambling so that’s all for today.

It’s Tuesday, and I gotta say I feel at least a thousand times better than I did yesterday. Your comments made me laugh.
Tomorrow is payday! WHo-Ray! No, wait, might be day after tomorrow.. It doesn’t matter, I only get paid once a month.
Below is a picture I took yesterday. You have to click it to see it full size. It’s a repetitive photo of that same old school of fish that has been around more than a week, with a barracuda in the middle. It seems like the school of fish is getting bigger BTW.
But you can’t really see it well unless you click it and look full size. You think you can to these things but you can’t, Nemo!
Tuesday Monday
It’s Monday, but really it’s Tuesday.

And that’s about it. Also, last month, when The Wife went to Costa Rica, she brought me back a coffee cup gift from our cousins. It’s pretty fancy, with the saucer and the spoon and everything…
Yodito means super strong coffee, and has something to do with iodine.
I have been working at the Airport for 6 months now. That means my probation is over. I have to get an evaluation to make it official. Today..
Holiday Friday
Today is a Holiday here, and I think I’ve said it before, but the weather is sucking it. Everybody’s whining about the weather, northerners saying it’s still winter not spring. Australians saying it’s still summer not fall. Caribbean-ers saying it’s too cold cloudy and windy.
The weather forecast says it’s supposed to get nice, We’ll see!
I called Planning yesterday, the law is that a single story house can be 10 feet from the property line, a two or more must be 15. She’s building a 1 story, 3 bedroom house, so she’s all legal .

Seeing The Appeal
Lately people have been doing this “stand up paddleboarding”. I don’t see the appeal. To me, it doesn’t look like much fun. First time I saw anyone on a kayak, windsurfing or hang gliding or sailing in a sailboat, I thought “Dang, now that looks cool!” But paddleboarding looks slow and boring. You have to have flat calm water and it looks terribly inefficient. On a kayak you can put your back into it and get going as fast as you can. Paddleboarding looks like the challenge is to stand up and paddle at all. Apparently it’s all the new rage, but I don’t see the thrill.

Flashback Friday: The Baby Snake
This makes me sad. I wish I could un-do it.
Years ago, I was walking on the beach and I found a brand new looking, plastic mouse cage. It was about twice as big as your grade school milk carton, Clear plastic with a fluorescent pink lid with bars. I thought WTF? and picked up and took it home.
Later that day, I was getting some dirt for a plant from a pile of dirt at the apartment and found a baby black snake. He was the size of a worm. The cage was perfect for him.
I had him in the cage for an hour or so, and decided he deserved to be free, so I let him go back where I found him. The cage rotted in the sun and I ended up throwing it away.
Two or three or four years later, I found a big blacksnake under my welcome mat. I killed it.
After I killed it, it occurred to me, “Maybe that was the same baby snake I found years ago” And as soon as I thought it, I knew it was true.
And I immediately regretted killing that snake and I still wish I hadn’t killed that snake. Why did I find that snake and that cage on the same day? I feel I definitely strayed from my path either the day I found the snake, or the day I killed the snake. Or both.
Cool Kayak
I was at the beach and this dude comes cruising up on a cool looking kayak. He had fishin rods and a GPS on board. Not sure what the Cayman Law is on fishing, I didn’t think I was allowed to fish with a pole on a boat, in fact, I’ve had Department Of Environment approach me while I was on my kayak to make sure I wasn’t fishing. Nonetheless, it’s a cool looking kayak. Not as cool as mine, but…
