Yesterday, I didn’t even think about mentioning American Thanksgiving. I had a little turkey and stuffing with lunch and when I got home I had the 2nd half of a pot of chili I had made.
I went to the eye doctor yesterday and the pressure inside my eyeball went down considerably because of the medicine. Eye drops and some pills. Now is a week of just eye drops to see if the pressure stays low. The normal pressure inside a human eyeball is 21, I had a 36 in my left and an incredible 52 in my right. After the week on medication I was very close to 21 and 21.
I can actually see the difference in my eyeball.
Today is another use it or lose it Friday. I don’t know what I’m going to do today. Laundry and mow I suppose, everyone I know is working pretty much.
I believe I’ve discovered a way to decrease the time I spend walking in the mornings. Without decreasing the distance walked. I’ll show you: go on, get up and walk. Now walk faster, faster still, a little bit faster, faster! That’s pretty good!
I believe the term that I should use for this faster walking will be “running”.
I shall get it to patented and copyrighted and I shall be rich for my invention!
Seriously though, it’s Wednesday, I slept good last night, I feel good now, I’m ready to go to work. I plan on swimming in half mile at lunch time like I did yesterday.
On Spain’s island of La Palma off the coast of Africa, the Volcano has been erupting.
Read the article here. It is unfortunate that homes are being destroyed but eye witnesses are saying that it is a spectacular eruption and quite beautiful.
Nature can do no harm, the only thing it hurts are man made things.
I was in the Navy in Hawaii, and the volcano on the Big Island was going off. Oahu had haze from the volcano, but I’ve never seen an erupting volcano. I was in Costa Rica in the presence of a somewhat erupting volcano, but it was completely covered by clouds.
Someday maybe I’ll see if Volcano erupting, maybe not. I’d like to.
Yesterday I got an email from my wife’s lawyer and I went to the dentist for an emergency drilling and filling. But even though all that happened, yesterday was a good day somehow.
I’m sure today will be a good day too, And I hope it’s a good day for you!
I got my new glasses yesterday and they are instantly so much better, that I can’t believe that I put up with that crap of the old glasses. I remember when I got the old ones new I thought they would take getting used to but I never got used to them. I believe they may have even hurt my eyes.
On this day in 2005 I met my wife. It’s surreal to go back to the 14th thru the 17th of September 2005 and read those posts on this blog. It will slay me if I can look back on these present days with 20/20 hindsight and see a way I could have saved my marriage., but I sure can’t see it now.
Notice I said 20/20 in a post about my glasses. Very clever!
Have a great day!
UPDATE! FOR SOME REASON, I THOUGHT TODAY WAS THE 16TH. I met my wife on the 16th of September 2005.
Sundays 24 hour cold seems to have made a comeback. I went to work Monday, feeling like crap because I had some mandatory stuff to do. I was feeling better by the afternoon. Yesterday, I felt ok when I went to work, but got worse all day. This morning, when I opened my eyes, I felt OK, but I can tell I should be taking a sick day. Already feel crappier.
Here’s a couple pictures because the pic makes the post!
I found this yesterday. Thee Ford Nucleon, nuclear powered car. Think of all the shielding needed in the back, protecting us from the reactor, the incredible weight allows the long overhanging front end. Google it. Read about it. It’s really neato mosquito cool and fun.
I was super sick yesterday. I guess I had a 24 hour cold. I went diving sunday, After that I sneezed, Then my head clogged solid and I had a cold. Then last night it just cleared up. I’m almost fully back to normal now.(Cold wise only, still normal crazy!)
I got an ok on my checkup. They changed my blood pressure medication. It wasn’t really an “Executive” checkup, just a regular one, like a ditchdigger checkup. Same as I get (almost) every year. I was disappointed. The facility is nice though. And this morning, I’m drinking COFFEE!
Today I’m going to Health City for an “executive physical”. Supposedly a very extensive checkup. It was promoted by our health insurance.
Health City is this new big hospital that continues to grow in the hopes of one day becoming a destination for medical tourism. They have a very good reputation.
So, I have to leave home early to get there, with no breakfast (OR COFFEE!). That’s the whole test, if you can survive with no coffee for halfa day, you’re fine.
I feel like they’re not going to find anything major wrong with me, but you never know. Maybe I should have saved yesterdays post for tomorrow…
Have an extra cuppa coffee for me this morning please!
