That Five Minutes.

It was a windy wavy weekend with no diving and not many outdoor activities for me. I cleaned the house, namely the floor. There’s 5 minutes, after th floor is done and before I let the dogs out on it that are really nice.

Then here they come, drinking water and dribbling it all over from their jowls, tufts of fur rolling across like sagebrush in the wild wild west within minutes. Paw prints and furballs.

I wouldn’t change a thing!

Although I’m thinking about getting a vacuum cleaner. What do you know about vacuum cleaners?

First Cruise Ship In 2!

Yesterday was Cayman’s first Cruise ship in over two years. Here’s a little VIDEO I took on TikTok.

it is good that the world is getting back to normal.

My internet is still intermittent. Yesterday we tried to replace the underground cable from the street and the wall jack and it came disconnected while pulling. Now there’s a temporary cable running across the yard. Couldn’t get the cable through the pipe now and the problem remains unchanged I am frustrated and fearful I might have to dig up the yard to replace the cable. (This cable is supposedly the customers responsibility.)

Oh well.

Mini Shed?

I’m thinking about getting the above mini shed, primarily to keep my lawnmower in. It won’t hold much else, but does have space for a few shelves. I think it would be pretty nice but it is smaller than what I had envisioned. What do you think?

Full, But Empty

It was a nice weekend. Dinner with the dinner club Friday night, Saturday I pressure washed a piece of wall in anticipation of a future painting, mowed the yard. Saturday night went out and saw a really good band, (and I am not easily impressed by bar bands) Saturday night I felt great, I had a really good time.

Sunday, I took the dogs to the beach and tried to go diving. The staff were pulling the ladders when I arrived and it was quite rough.

But at times this weekend, I felt like I was wasting time. I felt like a robot, doing my activities as programed. I felt a need to go go go and never stop moving, never stop doing things. I felt like any rest or idle time was a waste.

But it’s Monday. I will be busy at work. All will be well.

Spotted Eagle Ray Mate

My Spotted Eagle Ray now has a mate. It occurred to me that there needed to be another eagle ray on that blank spoton the wall, so I made it happen.

I like it a lot.

Last night I made a huge piece of salmon in on the grill. It was rather bland. I need a salmon recipe.

It was busy morning this morning. It was hard to get up, and I stayed up a little late and had to do my last night’s chores this morning.

Good Morning Monday!

I slept comparatively well last night, thanks to Lois’s Prayers no doubt.Thank you.

It was a good day yesterday. Went diving and met the contractor (who actually showed up on time). He trimmed the edges of the tile and filled in a few spots missed by grout. I gotta say, the job looks good!

Now I’m ready to have a party!

Dreams Again

Last night I had a couple of memorable dreams. I dreamed I was out on the road for work, and found a Cayman Islands $2 bill. (There’s no such thing, I don’t think.) I put it with my stack of money and noticed a thread hanging off of it. I tried to burn off the thread with a lighter and all my money caught on fire and I threw it on the road to try and stopm it out and it smooshed like shaving cream. Then there was nothing left but ash.

The other dream was I was in a big work truck, and the driver parked and I mounted a boxlike object on the side of the truck. Then the driver started moving the truck and I voiced my concern because he might hit something with the box. Then he parked, and I could feel that the truck was right on my tool bag. The driver was my brother Bruce, but I never realized it was him until the end of the dream.

And now it”s almost sunrise, I’m waiting for the tile guys to arrive and start the back. After today I should have a good idea of when they’ll be done.

The tiling job is progressing, I think they’re one day behind schedule, which isn’t bad, really.

View a quick video HERE. I took the video around sunset last night and I think the lighting makes the tile look darker than it really is.

The house is full of tile and thinset. I’ll be glad when the job is done.

I think home improvement causes the need for more home improvement. After replacing the tile, it looks like the front porch needs to be repainted. After I repaint the front porch, obviously the downstairs front of the house will need to be repainted. It’s a never-ending job.
