Nothing

I can’t think of anything to post about today. Payday is in a week and I’m broke.
I read in National Geographic News that the volcano is going off again in Monserrat. I haven’t heard that news anywhere else. Except we had it yesterday.
The OI Girl has my big laptop. and we talk using yahoo messenger. I’m supposed to “meet” her at 8:30.
Here’s a pic of the OI Girl, I took it in the dark with no flash and lightened it up a bit. It’s pretty accidental, but I think it’s kind of cool. You can see her smile.

Two weeks off

This morning I took the OI Girl to the airport. She’s gone to Costa Rica for two weeks. Wish I was going. I miss her already, but I can get some extra studying in.

The OI Girl’s pretty much been living with me for a couple of months, but she moved completely out of her apartment yesterday, she gave the landlord the key. She lives with me now.
The OI Girl was leaving her apartment for the last time and she saw her cat, all skinny and dirty. Tica the cat looked at her, but wouldn’t come. Tica got out two months and two days ago. Why does The OI Girl see the cat now? What purpose could God have for showing her her cat at the last possible minute? Tica seems to have turned wild. She was a humane society cat, so she was born wild. I’d think she liked her old life better, all she could eat and a good bed and water.

The OI Girl didn’t like seeing her cat like that, all scrawny and dirty. She says Tica looked at her, then ran away.
She says she doesn’t want to go back there, ever.

But I want to go find the cat.

Sometimes . . . .

Sometimes…

when you cry…

no one sees your tears.

Sometimes…

when you are in pain…

no one sees your hurt.

Sometimes…

when you are worried..

no one sees your stress.

Sometimes…

when you are happy..

no one sees your smile .

But FART!! just ONE time…

And everybody knows!!

Gotcha!! You thought it was going to be one of those
heart-touching stories!

the OI Girl got a turkey for a X-Mas bonus at work. I cooked it and we’re
waiting for friends to arrive and help us eat it!

Heartbeat city

I almost got in a wreck this morning. Here, they have these vans that act as busses. this morning I was driving past one that was stopped, turn signal on towards the curb, letting off (or picking up) passengers. As I was starting to go past, the turn signal switched directions, indicating the bus was coming back on the road and at the same time the bus driver popped the clutch and leapt out right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and locked up the wheels and pulled out into the center lane to keep from hitting his side.
It’s been a half hour and my heart is still hammering.

Here I am, back at work, took the Cousins back to the airport this morning. Yesterday the OI girls Uncle came on a Cruise ship with a group of relatives. Everyone was habla-ing Espanol except me. Hablo picito Espanol pero no mucho. Yesterday there was a half a dozen ships in and downtown was moderately crowded. It got more crowded after I took this picture.
This is the view from the balcony of Breezes Restaurant. When you come for a visit, this is where I’ll meet you.

When I got to work this morning, I had a Christmas card waiting from a long lost friend from my Navy days. I’ll be calling them today.
It was nice not having a stack of bills waiting. Don’t worry, they’ll be here.

I’m in downtown George Town, with swarms of Cruise Shippers, getting ready
to meet the OI Girls uncle. There’s 6 ships in port today. I’ll probably
have some pics tomorrow.

Home again

I’m home again, got back last night. I had a good time while I was gone but I’m glad to be home. The OI girl’s sleeping and the cousins are at her old apartment. I’m off of work today except for an OB tonight, at a Sports Bar called davey Jones Locker.
I found a table I liked, while walking on the beach on the Brac, I’m going to make one like it.

Here’s another couple of pics I liked…
