Yesterday, I DID get the afternoon off.
Today is root canal day. My first root canal. Here, preventitive dentistry is non-existent. You can only get problems fixed after they progress to the point where you’re complaining about them.

Probably not
No, I probably won’t buy a BMW Z3 or Z4. But I’d like to have one to drive. It wouldn’t be suitable because I need to haul around a bunch of scuba gear and stuff. It would be nice to have to drive back and forth to work though. I’d have to keep my old vehicle too.
Today I’m going to try to get off early.
Can you see me in this car?
Raw, Pure, Excitement
I’m at work. I went to the beach for a nap after work yesterday, the OI Girl met me there. Then we finished off that two pound bag of shrimp we started the other day, and went grocery shopping. $170. The weather here is weird. Cool breeze, pretty heavy. Usually, when it’s sunny, there will be no breeze, until a cloud goes over the sun. The breeze starts at the same time as the shade, presumeably because it’s cooler. Yesterday was the opposite, with the breeze lessening when a cloud covered the sun. Nobody notices this stuff but me, I don’t think. Right now I’m listening to cricket, getting ready to make a phone call to Canada about some diodes. Hence my title, Raw, Pure, Excitement
New Zupdate
I had a really good weekend.
Saturday, I went to the swim. I swam the race in 19 minutes and 26 seconds. (about)
I didn’t win anything.
Sunday I went diving, I had a problem with my rebreather, so I went open circuit. I took some pics.
After the dive, I got the part I needed to fix my rebreather. (O2 sensor)
Then we went to the beach where I got red in the front and not enough sun on my back, I problem I’ll have to fix later. Then home for some chicken on the grill and I installed the part and fixed my rebreather.

putting myself down
YesterdayI noticed that I put myself down, belittle myself. I was installing a component on the transmission line of my transmitter and the engineer from another station was helping me. We were talking about the broadcast industry and about people who don’t work in it anymore because they were no good at it. then I made the comment that I’m no good at it. Like a joke. But I noticed that I felt bad.
I always feel inferior.
I’ve been scuba diving for more than half my life. I’m an instructor for 4 agencies. I dive trimix and I have the best rebreather in the world. I have done a lot of diving in almost every condition, cold, deep, no viz. I have practically every certification except cave. But when I go to the dive shop and see someone else diving, I assume that they are a better diver than me.
It’s a hard habit to break.
official policy.
I’m almost done with that chapter on Programmable Controllers. I feel like I might actually get done with the course.
To answer a question from yesterdays comments, no, I haven’t ever told anyone about my blog, that’s the official policy. People have approached me who have found it, and that’s fine. I’m sure people I know read it and don’t say anything. But I don’t tell or talk about it, unless someone brings it up first.
Today should be busy, I hvve to record a program any minute now, edit some audio for the newsroom and go t customs to pick up some cables. That should fill the day.
I ask you.
I’m here at work, This morning I’ve been doing some major office rearranging, furniture-wise.
Last night I made steamed shrimp for supper, it was very good. I also purchased a blender yesterday. OI and I had some liquefied paypaya this morning.
Studying has been bullshit these last two lessons. My current chapter is Programmable Controllers. The examples they are using is a three conveyor system that moves boxes from upstairs to downstairs and the other example is an assembly line that manufactures engine blocks. The previous chapter was Avaition Electronics. What does either chapter have to do with Broadcast Engineering? I ask you.
hmm
Well, I’ve had this window open for several hours now, I can’t think of a single thing to write.
