Friday Finally

Flower that bloomed last night.

Friday! Glad! I’m posting this from my phone because my computer is converting files from mkv to AVI. Of all the computers in our house, only one plays mkv video files with the audio in sync. Yesterday afternoon we went to Stingray City and I have lots of video and pics, on my computer, which as I said, is indisposed. So I’ll post videos later. It was hard to get up this morning. I was sleeping good when the alarm went off. I did wake up at 2:30ish and stay up a while though. Nothing in store for today, except dinner tonight. And it might rail. Looking cloudy. Have a good weekend. Check back tomorrow for some videos

Here We Are

Here we are, Thursday. Yesterday was great! Took off half day, went diving, smoked two cigars. My first two cigars since I dunno when. March 10th I think was the last time I smoked. It was good, the diving and the cigars, and the half day. Diving pics/videos to follow

Also last night we had a cookout with a bunch of friends and my sister and Bro in law. I like him more and more.

I’m taking another half day off today. Stingray City this afternoon. Hope it’s not windy.

Half Days and a Hyperactive Sun

I’m taking a half day off today and tomorrow. Today I’m going diving, tomorrow I’m going to Stingray City. Today I’m taking the car instead of the scooter and I’m putting my scuba gear in it to be ready. And a change of clothes. As you know, my Sister is visiting this week.

The sun has been very active lately. There have been many flares. Last Friday was the busiest day ever, and there were three flares yesterday. Here’s a link.

Womens Razors

I’ve been seriously out or razors for a long time, using that last dull one… I like to buy the 50 pack of disposable razors, but I went to one store and they were out. Yesterday I went to the other store, and they were out too. Out of desperation and necessity, I purchased the only package of disposable razors I could find, a 10 pack of womens razors. (They’re purple, not pink, and they don’t really look too girly)

Women! These are an inferior product. There’s too much plastic. It’s like driving around on your face in a freekin’ hovercraft. You can’t mow in the corners because of the plastic bumpers. You should use mens razors, they’re much better. Less plastic. These are the best, try ’em!

Eat More Salad

For the past several months, I’ve been starving. I eat and get “not hungry”, then suddenly, out of nowhere, I get completely starving again, with nothing in between. Or I feel starving right after I ate and my belly is feels stretched full.
When you’re painful starving like I was, you gotta eat if you can. You can’t help it.
I gained about 10 pounds.
Saturday, I did what I’ve been wanting to do for over a year. I went to the Pizza Hut and got the salad bar, all you can eat. I picked Pizza Hut because I was in there to meet someone a long time ago, and the salad bar there was the best looking salad bar I’d seen on the island.

I had three pretty large helpings of salad. Lettuce, tomato, carrots, green peppers. A couple scoops of cottage cheese. It was the best thing ever.

There was a time in my life, when I ate a lot of salad, I’d order the giant chef’s salad if they had it at a restaurant when we went to eat. I’ve always loved a good salad.
Since Saturday, I feel much better. I haven’t been maddeningly starving since. I need to eat more salad.

Flashback Friday: The Golf Slice

When I was younger, I played golf. (never very well) I had a horrible slice. If I went and took a lesson, I’d hit it straight and perfectly, unintentionally making it so the Golf Pro (Claude Roberts) couldn’t help me.

The pictures above show the clubhouse. In the top picture, the first tee is to your right. (I found these pictures on the internet, HERE.) See those huge windows? The bottom picture shows a view from inside the clubhouse, looking at the course. These windows are HUGE, maybe 4×8 feet or bigger.

I bet you think I’m going to tell you I sliced a golf ball and broke one of those windows. I didn’t. Anybody can break a window, but only I can slice a ball and hit the post IN BETWEEN two of those windows. It bounced off and did no damage. It was truly a one in a billion trillion zillion gazillion shot.

Now, there is NOT a bad design to this golf course. It is literally impossible to hit those windows from the first tee, unless you have a beyond humanly possible slice, like I did. But I tell you what, I’ll never forget the feeling as that ball curved towards those huge windows…. .

See that pond in the background of the bottom picture? I have also skipped a golf ball across that. Again, unintentionally.. And ended up with a pretty decent shot.

I haven’t golfed in years, I sold my clubs when I moved down here. You’re welcome, the world is a safer place for that.

Thursday Thoughts?

I can’t think of a title for my post today.

Here we are, suddenly, the week is almost over.

My sister arrives Saturday, as well as a friend I’ve never met from the cigar forum. I quit smoking cigars more than a month ago, I could probably search this blog to find the exact date, but I think I will probably smoke when this guy arrives. I quit because the Wife asked me to, but she says she doesn’t mind me smoking as long as I don’t smoke every day.

We got this new dog food, Be Happy. The dogs really like it.

It’s probably no good for you, but the dawgs woof it down.
