New GPS

Today I have to go to early to the doctors and get a blood test so I can get my prescription for my blood pressure medicine renewed.

I was sleeping good when the alarm went off, and I am tired. I woke up at 3:30 and don’t remember falling back asleep.

I can’t think of anything to post today.

I haven’t been able to find my old GPS for quite some time. Yesterday I bought a new one, a Garmin GPSMAP 78. It is much more powerful than my  years old, eTrex Vista CGPSMap_78_Anyway, I’ve got to get ready to go, I have to leave in 10 minutes.

Mondays Weekend Report

The weekend was a blur. Saturday we went out shopping, I got a new dehumidifier for my no-girls room. We had tacos for lunch and we put up a new pool. The old one was still good, just sunburned and faded and we were worried about catastrophic failure, bursting and instantaneously dumping 2000 gallons of water on the back porch.20130504_155236 20130504_121242

Next weekend my Sister arrives for a week, with her new husband. Also a friend from the US arrives next week.

Tonight  I have a CayTronics job after work. I sure can use that extra money!!

Poor Dog

Poor Dog_snapshotWe got our dog Sheba from our neighbors up the street, who left her tied up in the sun all day with no water. They actually moved and left Sheba for the tenants who rented the house to take care of. We asked the renters, who asked the neighbors and they gave Sheba to us 5 years ago.
Now the same neighbors are back, and they have another dog tied up in the same place, with no water or food or shade. Some people don’t deserve a dog, and they should be tied up in the yard with no food or water or contact with an other living being. I made this video to give to the humane society.

Iron Man 3 on an Early Early Friday Morning!

Today is sleepy Friday. Last night, (perhaps I should say this morning),  The Wife and I saw the opening night of Iron Man 3 at midnight.

iron man 3 posterIt was about 3 when we went to bed, I got up at 6, sleeping a half hour later than normal.

Although the movie was good, I thought it was the least good of all three Iron Man movies, so far.

And that’s all I’m going to say about that.

Yesterday I twisted my ankle and have my swollen foot shoved into my boots and laced up as tight as I can. Yow. I don’t think it’s too bad though.

Here it’s cloudy and there was some thunder and rain earlier. The forecast calls for rain today and tomorrow. I’m taking the car.

Yesterday I drove because of weather too and recorded an audio post, but it has too many mistakes to use, so I may re-record it today. One thing, if you’ve ever heard your voice on a recording, you don’t sound like you think you sound. I sound insolent, arrogant and angry. I certainly don’t sound how I feel…

What Is Cold Sea Sausage? And How Is It Used?

This morning when the alarm went off I was having a dream that I was in college, taking a test. The first question was “What is ‘cold sea sausage’, and how is it used? I was looking through my books and notes, trying to find the answer for so long that other people in the class were finishing the test. The college instructor was a US Marine, so nobody was really allowed to talk, but after a while, I asked out loud: “WTF is up with this first question?” Someone said it was a trick question.

In other news, I got my scooter back before lunch yesterday, and it seems to be running very well. They said that the bolt I found was not from my scooter and that they checked and all nuts and bolts seem to be in place. My Yamaha hero is back from vacation and the whole store is running smoothly again.

Yesterday, I don’t know what happened, I got up, did everything I normally do, and started heading to work. On the road were all the school kids. I thought “what thee bloody ‘ell is going on here?” and looked at my watch. I was a full half hour early. I don’t know why, but usually I barely have time to get everything done, and it’s time to go. Yesterday, I got everything done and went, and it was wayyyy early. Then I spent the morning wondering what I forgot to do.

It’s HUMP Day! Tomorrow is our 4 Year Wedding Anniversary. I have my wifes present sittin here on my table, in snowman wrapping paper. She just asked me, “What’s that Christmas present?” I said, without turning my head to see what she was talking about, or blinking or flinching, “What Christmas present?” Ha Ha!
