Lincoln Lawyer

Last night the Wife and I watched the movie “The Lincoln Lawyer”, it was quite good. Highly recommended to see in the theater or on TV.

Lawyer’s defending a client for assault and finds out he’s guilty. Also, his client framed someone for the assault. AND he enjoys seeing innocent people go to jail for his crimes. AND he’s done it before. Super good. Much better than expected.

Thursday. Nice day. I feel like taking the car instead of motorcycle though. don’t really know why. Traffic. Parking. Everything’s a hassle with a car. Motorcycle’s the way to go.

We’ll see.

Thoughtless Thursday

I’ve been thinking quite some time about what to post and I am drawing a blank.

Last night the wife and I watched the movie Back To The Future II. It’s stupid, but I feel a little bit sad that date in the movie has passed. It was a good movie the first time I saw it and it is still good now. Now that the date has passed, it feels like the movie is really over after all these years, and won’t be as good as it once was. Of course, there is no reason for that to be so.

Glad it’s Thursday and look forward to the weekend. It is still quite rainy, but there is more and more Sun. Been driving the car for 2 weeks now, ready to get back on the motorcycle .

Melatonin. The Good Stuff

I take melatonin every night at home. I didn’t bring any with me this trip. I haven’t been sleeping well, and o haven’t been tired at bedtime.  Yesterday I got some. I slept good last night. Note to self: always take melatonin with you when traveling.

Here’s a super cool satellite dish. It can lock on to more than one satellite at a time.

Slow Start Thursday

It was hard to wake up this morning. I’m still dragging. Bring me the weekend

This morning whilst feeding the cats,  I saw two new cats in the yard. A grey and a yellow. They didn’t try to get food from our cats,  but they did almost start a fight with each other.  I threw a rock at them and missed (I couldn’t hit a fat woman in the ass with a paddle) but they ran away.

I should get a price quote for the car repair today. Wish me luck.

zvsI discovered a movie called “Zombies VS Strippers”. Sounds like a wonderful movie. The Wife doesn’t seem too interested in watching it.  Hmm. Wonder why.  IMDB gave it two stars.

Flashback Friday: First Time Driving

The first car I ever drove was a 1973 AMC Gremlin. It was a snowy Missouri day and my friend Doug and I were out cruising around. We were way back on a dirt road, snowy and icy when he decided to let me drive.

He said, “don’t use the brakes, you’ll skid if you use the brakes”.

So. I started driving, got going to a pretty good speed, then took my foot off the gas to slow down for a curve. Since it was a dirt road, the turn was really banked. As per instruction, I didn’t use the brakes

Well, I hit that curve pretty fast, and didn’t make the turn. I ended up airborne and landed in this snow filled cornfield. You could see where all four tires left the ground in the snow.

It didn’t hurt the car, because aeronautical race car driving is in my genes.  We reversed out and headed on our way. Doug driving.

And that was the first time I ever drove a car. Another thing I remember, worth mentioning, is the first time I drove solo, after I got my license. But that was uneventful.

20130201_192416There were boats and cars too, I posted the above picture on Instagram and Facebook, and got several comments that I should buy my wife that car, but we can’t even afford socks that match, so I guess we’ll have to wait.20130203_08243420130202_124224Saturday we went to the “soft opening” of the George Town Yacht Club. Really nice.

And SUnday, we relaxed and went to a Super Bowl Party in the evening. Baltimore Ravens won and it was   a good game. It was outside though, and now I think I’m getting a cold. NO!
