Queens Birthday/Bruce Day

Yesterday was the  holiday for the Queens Birthday. Happy Birthday Your Majesty! (She reads this blog every day)

Yesterday was also Bruce Day. Jun 13. You can look that up elsewhere in his blog.

My back’s been hurting. Lower back, like the arch in my back goes away. This time it’s lasted longer than usual.

Also, in the really big news category, Little One the cat came back after 9 days missing. The Wife saw her get attacked by dogs. Really really glad she’s back.

Got my scooter back Saturday morning. Almost a month in the shop. Seems fine though.

And that’s your Monday Tuesday weekend report!

Have a good week!

From Seven To Three

We used to have seven outdoor cats, Now we have three.  Over the years, they’ve disappeared one by one. Most recently, Little One went missing last Saturday morning.

I was in the shower, Sheba started barking then my wife started yelling from the back deck. Dogs were in the back yard, attacking our cats. I got out of the shower and she ran outside. I grabbed a pair of pants, and my baseball bat and followed her out.

No dogs, no cats in the yard. Wife said she looked over the side and saw three dogs surrounding Little One, our smallest cat. Little One jumped up on the fence and my wife saw dogs jaws reach up, grab her, and pull her down.

We found no blood on the ground, but we found where the dogs came under the fence, wrecking some banana plants.

Little One hasn’t been seen since and we fear the worst.

We used to have: BTK,  LeeLee, Shadow, LT, Albie, Goldie and Little One. Now just BTK (pronounced Bee TeeKee), Goldie and LeeLee were at breakfast. Shadow went missing while we were in Italy. From 7 cats to 3.

Saturday I went and got aluminum fencing wire and secured steel all along the bottom of the fence, to make it more secure.

I can’t imagine the horror of seeing what my wife saw.

Now it’s a cloudy Monday, time to go to work

Cat Photos

I’m becoming quite enamored with our newish cat, Ashy.

We’ve had her about 6 months. She’s an indoor cat. I still love our 5 outdoor cats too!

Cat Problems

Yesterday Evening Ashy, our new indoor cat, jumped off the balcony, 12 feet to the ground.

There’s no way she could getback up if she wanted to.
We found her outside, apparently enjoying herself, as she ran away several times when I tried to pick her up.

The Wife is very upset. She’s wanted a grey cat named Ashy as long as I’ve known her. We either have to close all the windows and doors and run the AC, or worry constantly about Ashy running away. The Wife is talking about finding a new home for Ashy. This would also devastate the wife.

Half our living area is outdoor porch and we can’t keep Ashy prisoner.

It’s a delimma with no happy ending in sight.

Wet Wednesday

image

It’s Wednesday morning. I’m sitting out on the back porch and it’s raining trying to stay dry.

I did an image search for wet Wednesday, it must be a big day for all the strip clubs, because I got tons of sexy pictures on google images. For example:

It was raining yesterday when I went to work, but then it got sunny and I went to the beach for lunch, that was nice. Hopefully it will do the same thing today.

Yesterday I went to grocery shopping and today I have to start cleaning the house for the cat / dog sitter.

I guess that’ll do’er for today.
Havva goodun.

Thursday Thoughts

image

It’s Thursday. Two days till the weekend. It seems like only the first five days after the weekend are the hardest though. That’s good….

The wife gets back from Miami today at about noon.

Yesterday morning Ashy the cat had disappeared. I looked everywhere and could not find her. I called the wife to give her the bad news. while I was on the phone I found the cat in the closet behind the clothes hanging on the hangers. (see above picture) Ashy still hasn’t approached Sheba yet. Sheba wants to be friends.
I have never seen a dog that has such empathy as Sheba. She seems to know how others feel.

This morning at 4:30 we had quite a strong storm. I should say microstorm. Very strong winds and very heavy rain for about 10 minutes.

Wish me luck at work today because I anticipate a rough day.

Ashys 13th Day

The cat’s been here about 13 days. Sheba is surprisingly good about the whole thing. I am amazed by her tolerance for the cat. Sheba definitely, obviously, openly wants to be friends, but Ashy’s still reluctant.
I never knew Sheba was so good till we got the cat!

Tomorrow is Friday!

No News Is Good News

It was a great weekend! Friday I stayed home while the Wife went out to Oktoberfest. Not my cuppa tea)

Saturday I went to the beach, wife had to work (only for two hours). The beach is full of seaweed, and I had the whole 7 Mile Beach to myself! Didn’t see another soul. The sea’s been pretty  rough, with the wind coming opposite the normal direction. Good sand n sun tho, it was great!

Sunday, we took Sheba to the beach at Barkers, not much seaweed there, came back, gave Sheba a bath. Then I trimmed the tree in the back yard. It had branches hanging down almost to the ground. After that we went to a friends house and hung out by the pool.

And I watched Football, Redskins won,  Dallas lost.

It was a good weekend.

Super weird dreams last night though. I had a brain twister about the anomalies of the number 96. And a different dream that someone was building real structures of optical illusions. There was a corner of a building, a house really, that was up on a pole. It had a still-alive woman from olden days, still young and not affected by time. And more illusions. Too weird to retain in the brain. Waker-uppers. I got up and laid on the back porch for a pretty long time, since
sleeping wasn’t comfortable.

But it was a good weekend! I feel pretty good this morning, despite lack of sleep. We’ll see now the day goes.

Have a good week!
