New Alarm Sound?

I have discovered what would be a good sound for an alarm The sound of a dog puking. I was dreaming last night about diving and talking fish. (Anglerfish can’t speak well because their mouths are so narrow and they’re quite upset about it.)

All of a sudden, I was awake, up and into action, because Daisy the dawg threw up. I got her out of the mess and cleaned it up. (She puked in her kennel, she sleeps there even though the door is open.)

That sound wakes you up good and fast, with no fuzzbrain or grogginess. Pop tall, high alert!

That’s my thought for the day, we need a dogpuke alarm sound for the alarm clock.

Standard Weekend

It was a good weekend. Friday I was off work. I helped our Rabbi build a Sukkah for Sukkot. Saturday was my third of four Home Gardening Course sessions and Sunday I had friends and their puppy over for dawgie play day and burgers on the grill. My house is nice and clean right now. A true rarity.

All of a sudden, some of the girls at the yoga place want to hook me up with their single friends. This is exciting but also makes me a little nervous. On one hand, I’d feel better finding my own girl, on the other they might do better than I would. Also I ask myself if I’m ready. I guess I’m ready to start at the beginning, not jump in the deep end.

Anyway, most of the things I worry about never happen, so ..

Dogs and Cats

Took a couple shots of Goldie and the dogs this morning. Usually Knip is right in there too. The cats don’t mind Daisy, unless she’s off the leash. Then they run. And Daisy chases. She likes to play too hard.

windy weekends

we have had four or five or six windy weekends in a row. Bad enough to prevent diving and hurt my plants.

it’s getting later noticeably earlier, hello is a picture of the same old scene from our morning dog walk.

The Road

i got a lot of work done in the yard. I have the conduit ready to run my new internet cable.

It was, overall, a good weekend. There will be a short week this week and next because of Easter.

That Five Minutes.

It was a windy wavy weekend with no diving and not many outdoor activities for me. I cleaned the house, namely the floor. There’s 5 minutes, after th floor is done and before I let the dogs out on it that are really nice.

Then here they come, drinking water and dribbling it all over from their jowls, tufts of fur rolling across like sagebrush in the wild wild west within minutes. Paw prints and furballs.

I wouldn’t change a thing!

Although I’m thinking about getting a vacuum cleaner. What do you know about vacuum cleaners?

Monday Summary

Had a good, busy week end with the fam. Went to Coco Fest Saturday. It was quite nice.

Saturday night we watched movies.

Sunday I took the dogs on a 5K dog walk. (Mom and sister stayed home)

Sunday mid day onward we went out for smoothies and had dinner.

also somewhere in there I got h lawn mowed.

Full, But Empty

It was a nice weekend. Dinner with the dinner club Friday night, Saturday I pressure washed a piece of wall in anticipation of a future painting, mowed the yard. Saturday night went out and saw a really good band, (and I am not easily impressed by bar bands) Saturday night I felt great, I had a really good time.

Sunday, I took the dogs to the beach and tried to go diving. The staff were pulling the ladders when I arrived and it was quite rough.

But at times this weekend, I felt like I was wasting time. I felt like a robot, doing my activities as programed. I felt a need to go go go and never stop moving, never stop doing things. I felt like any rest or idle time was a waste.

But it’s Monday. I will be busy at work. All will be well.

Happy Birthday Lenny!

Yesterday was Lenny’s 4th birthday!

Lenny is a very good boy. He was shy when he first arrived. In fact, I had trouble getting him in the car when I picked him up from the humane society. But now he’s a super good dawgie, best in the world!

He’s still shy, but nowadays it comes across more like politeness than shyness.

Lenny has turned into a great lil’ fella!

No More “Embed”?

I mentioned the other day that “embed” quit working on WordPress. Now they have removed the option from the menu. Oh well, it didn’t work anyway.

Here’s a link to a dog walk video. I put this video on TikTok instead of YouTube. I would be interested in knowing how it works, especially if you don’t have TikTok.

Yesterday turned out to be a great day, I went to what I will describe a Jewish baby shower. Then an evening dinner at a friend’s house.

This morning I took the dogs to the beach, gave them a bath when we got home. Soon I’m leaving for a lunch at another friend’s house.

I certainly woke up burnt out yesterday, and this morning. I guess it’s a new “thing” I’m going to be going through. As you already know from my incessant whining, I’ve been having trouble sleeping for the last several months. I have pretty much decided that I no longer care whether I sleep or not, I will just go where I have to go and do what I need to do. But yesterday morning I felt extra crappy.

I’m getting ready to go to “thee lunch”. Happy Boxing Day, happy Sunday!

Mighty Crabby

it was another dogbark night last night I don’t know where they all came from. It started with 2 dogs getting into another minor skirmish. Then trillions of dogs all started barking at once. My two started whining and crying and making little piggy sounds. I told them no barking, but they kept on with the noise and ended up in their kennels.

They got quiet then.

I’m just crabby this morning.
