New Cat Friday

This week was NOT fast like the previous two. I’ll be glad to get home tonight after work.

We’re getting a new cat tonight, an indoor cat. The lady is bringing her over tonight and we’ll see how she (the cat) gets on with the dogs. We’ve set up a kennel for the cat to spend her days in, and hopefully she won’t jump off the balcony.

The Wife has already named the cat Ashy. She’s been looking for a grey cat for along, coming to the conclusion that there were none on the island, when Ashy shows up at the Ritz.

So we’ll see how it goes.

Friday Finally Fantastic

It’s Friday. I feel very relaxed and calm. Not much to say today. All good.

Supposed to rain today, according to my weather apps. It has rained every day this week, but my weather apps have said all clear, so I rode the scooter. I got rained on once. Today, I’ll take the car, (on the weather app’s advice), so it’ll probably be clear. Not complaining.

Supposed to rain tomorrow. I’m supposed to go diving and look for an airplane that crashed long ago. Last night, I dreamed I went diving. I just remembered.

My Next New Phone

I should be getting a new phone today, a LG G4. I’m pretty excited. It has good reviews and specs. ⏳⌛. I ordered it yesterday, and it might be here today. Not bad.

Friday. Yeay. I’ll be glad when work is over this afternoon.

Who’da Thunkit?

Friday got here fast. Again. Yesterday it felt like Wednesday, I kept reminding myself it wasn’t.

I moved back to my old office yesterday.

Also yesterday, Almost got whacked by a school bus at the West Bay 4 way stop. I pulled up to the stop sign, there was a car to my left, with the bus behind it. The car went, then I went, and the bus just followed the car in front of it without even stopping or slowing down. I had to slam on the brakes (and horn) in the middle of the intersection! I wasn’t running my dashboard camera….. If I had been you’d see the video here, as well as the police would have seen it. Wasn’t as bad as I made it sound on Facebook.

Been driving the car all week, rain every day. At least it’s sunny when it’s not raining.

I guess that’ll do ‘er for today, have a hood weekend!

Friday Finally

The week went by fast. Good thing.

We bought a new TV from our friends who left the island, but there was no power cord. So now I’ll be looking for a very specific power cord.

Still not back in my office at work, was supposed to be back in last Monday, now the repair team is saying this coming Monday…

No news is good news I guess, nothing to post about can be construed as a good thing. On the other hand, this has never been a “whine & complain” blog (I hope).

Hurricane Danny

Hurricane Danny is out there, no one else here seems to be worried about it yet but me. I guess he’s still pretty far out, but within the next couple of days, Cayman may  be “in the cone”. I feel like we should start getting ready. Ya know, beat the rush…. Danny is supposed to weaken to a tropical storm from a hurricane in the next couple of days, maybe we’ll get some rain and I can wear my new raincoat!

It’s Friday, I’m not as excited about it as I thought I would be all week. Maybe the realization hasn’t sunk in yet because it was a short week for me.

I feel tired this morning, I woke up at 4, an hour early, and couldn’t get back to sleep.

I haven’t checked the local weather yet, and don’t know it it’s car or scooter today… We’ll see.

Final Friday!

Today is my last workday before Vacation!

Usually on Fridays, I like to tie up loose ends, but today it looks like I have a pretty busy day lined up.

This might be my last post until Canada. I have a feeling it won’t be, but it might.

I can’t wait to get to Canmore!

Repeat Dream: The Bus

I think I had the same dream last night and night-before-last.

The bus was huge, as big as the inside of a movie theater, and had the same kind of seats. There was an upstairs to the bus, where the driver sat, and there were more seats there too, but the upstairs was smaller. President Obama was sitting there. When I went upstairs, he waved at me.
Then I woke up.

Glad it’s Friday! We’re having a heavy thunderstorm right now. When I woke up , there was quiet lightning all around. Then it got loud and started raining.

Think I’ll take the car today instead of the scooter…

Gut Feeling

This morning I got up,  said I think “I’ll skip my exercise today.”
Then I said”I  think  I’ll make coffee before my shower, instead of after” So I did.
Then power went out while i was in the bathroom.
Glad I made coffee!
Glad it’s Friday!
Glad I got mobile data on my Nexus!!

Personal New Year

Tomorrow is my birthday, 7-11.

I’ll be 55.

When I turned 40, seems like about 5 minutes ago, I thought, “My life  is approximately half over  (If I don’t screw up and get m’self kilt)”. This second half seems  to be moving a lot faster than the first.

I think that birthdays are good times to make new years resolutions, after all, it is the start of a personal new year, isn’t it?
My resolution is “no TV when the sun is above the horizon”. I gave up television totally before I got married, now, the Wife likes it, so I end up watching too, and getting addicted. I like Modern Family.

This weekend, we’re going to East End for a mini stay-cation. It’s gonna be GREAT!
We have a young woman staying over to take care of the dawgs.

You know you’re getting old when you call a pretty girl a “young woman”!
