Tired Tuesday

I stayed up late to watch Washington VS Dallas on Monday Night Football.

I went to bed about 12:30 and got up a 5AM. Redskins always lose if they don’t score first and I should havegone to bed afer the first Dallas field goal.

Also last night, we went and saw the new Hunger Games which was quite good. Recomend  it for theater viewing.

I’m tired, Hurtin fer certain.

Movie: Spectre

image

My advice is wait until you can rent it.

First time i my life I was nodding off at any movie ever.

My favorite scene was the car chase scene.

Least favorite part, I don’t know, but they were on this train seems like forever.

It wasn’t bad, just nothing special that required the big screen. Less than average action for a 007 movie and it was very long too. We didn’t get home till 11:30 and now I’m dragging.

Have a goood day!

Thoughtless Thursday

I’ve been thinking quite some time about what to post and I am drawing a blank.

Last night the wife and I watched the movie Back To The Future II. It’s stupid, but I feel a little bit sad that date in the movie has passed. It was a good movie the first time I saw it and it is still good now. Now that the date has passed, it feels like the movie is really over after all these years, and won’t be as good as it once was. Of course, there is no reason for that to be so.

Glad it’s Thursday and look forward to the weekend. It is still quite rainy, but there is more and more Sun. Been driving the car for 2 weeks now, ready to get back on the motorcycle .

Have a good day!

Back To The Future Day

image

Today is Back To The Future Day,The day Marty McFly arrives from 1985. HERE is an article.

On Oct 21 1985, I was just out of the Navy. 1955 I wasn’t even born yet.

Back in those days there was a saying: “Cameras don’t lie!” You oldies remember this.

So:

Keep an eye out today for Marty McFly!

Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

image

Saw this movie the other day. It was very good. Of course, you have to see the first one first, which is also outstanding.
The only parts I didn’t like was when the hotel manager was rude to the lady guest, but in hindsight, I wasn’t supposed to like it.
I’m not going to get into the plot here, but I say really really good, 5 stars. I’ll be watching both again and again.

Everything will be all right in the end, so if everything’s not all right, so if it’s not all right, it’s not the end! And: There’s no present like the time!

Have a good Friday and a great weekend!

Movie: Inside Out

image

I found the trailer for this move whilst looking for the trailer of another movie. I thought, “the Wife’ll like this!”

I had never heard of it which means the Wife never mentioned it, and I thought I had made a major discovery. I told the wife I had a movie picked out, and we watched it last night.

It was good, not for young kids, I don’t think. It was about this little girl who, like everyone, is kind of like a robot with a control panel. The emotions, (see picture above), take turns operating the controls. Memories are these balls that get stored in the mind, and are transported to and from storage by  these suction tubes.

Well, the girls family moves to a new city, and Joy and Sadness accidentally get sucked into one of the afore mentioned tubes and get transported far away from the control panel, and are trying to get back.

Meanwhile, without Joy or Sadness, the little girl is going a little bit crazy, as only Fear, Disgust and Anger are operating the controls.

Quite the good movie, much deeper than I expected, well worth a watch!

Hump Day! One week ago was my first day back after vacation. Seems like a long time ago, but the week is going fast. (Hope I didn’t jinx it by saying that!)

I have been rained on the past two days while ridding my motorcycle. Seems like we’re having period of sunny skies, but daily afternoon rainshowers… Not complaining. The low pressure systems and tropical storms are lining up and coming one after the other lately. Hurricane Danny is gone, and Erika (?) is cruising around out there. None are projected to come by here, fingers crossed.

Have a good Hump Day!

Mission: Impossible. Rogue Nation

image

The wife and I went to see Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation last night. It was quite good. My favorite part was the underwater scene. And the motorcycle scene, just like me coming home from work. The movie was very action-packed with a good plot. Good comedy inserts too. Totally worth seeing at the theater.

Monday is gone. Tuesday is here. I think I’ll be moving into my old office today or tomorrow. (remember, there was a fire while I was on Vacation in Canada)

The weather’s been weird, super hot, no breeze daily isolated thunderstorms, only raining on me when I’m riding my scooter. No rain for our plants at home.

And that’ll do’er for today. Have a good-un!

Really Bad Movies!

A friend of mine likes to watch crappy movies. He goes on Netflix and finds movies with one star, and watches them. At his bidding, The Wife and I watched “Sharknado” and “Airplane VS Volcano”, two spectacularly bad movies. The Wife and I have discussed watching “Sharknado 2”, with no great enthusiasm.

I just came across this little tidbit of info on the BBC:

image

There will be a Sharknado 4, I didn’t even know there was a 3.

read all about it HERE.

Absolutely thrilling.

I remember “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”. It was unbelievable to me that the entire plot was recovering his stolen bicycle. I thought “Napoleon Dynamite” was so bad that it went all the way around the scale to being  good again.

Another is “Mystery Science Theater 3000”. A janitor has been blasted into space by two evil NASA employees, and to torture him, they send him really bad movies to watch with his two robots. Their aside comments are hilarious.

What are some really crappy movies you’ve watched and would recommend? Or perhaps NOT recommend?

Movie: Minions

We went and saw the movie Minions last night. It was OK.

image

There were lots of little kids there, I briefly wondered what they thought of the Minions adoration of evil.

Sandra Bullock didn’t sound like Sandra Bullock, except in a couple of places. I bet she had fun making this movie though.

My recommendation: wait for this movie to come out on video.

Rainy Friday Morning

When I  started typing “rainy” above, it was raining hard. By the time I finished typing “Rainy”, it had stopped. That’s how we roll down here in the Caribbean!
Yesterday turned out pretty nice, it was sunny but the sky wasn’t blue because of some high, thin clouds.
Now it’s raining again. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow when we have our party for a friend who’s leaving the island.

image

Tonight the Wife and I are going to the premier of Jurassic World. There’s some kind of get-together beforehand and you’re supposed to wear blue. I was told why but didn’t pay attention.

Have a good weekend!
