My Mom’s hallway, her door is at the very end!

Have a GOOD WEEKEND!
Back to work today.
First of all, let me say that the piece of crap, loud noisy police helicopter has been hovering overhead, way up high, since about 10 till 6 AM. Right now it is so loud I can’t hear myself think. At least 30 minutes so far, hovering as still as they can.
Vacation was good, one week ago from this minute, I was on my way to Baltimore, MD. I saw my Mom, and a few friends, some of whom I hadn’t seen in 15 years.
I did come back a day early though, because of a massive snow storm threatening the North Eastern US.
So I’m returning to work after two days on the beach!
I have to locate and sort all my pictures, there’s more coming.
I went to see a Navy friend in Delaware, I had a GPS in my rental car. I just entered their address and didn’t look at the map. Well, the GPS took me all the way around the Chesapeake Bay, instead of over the Rt 50 bridge, so the 2.5 hour trip took about 5 hours. I felt like a dummy. But it was a beautiful drive, except for the Baltimore slums along the way.
Glad to be back, Have a good week!
It was a really nice weekend. Saturday I ran errands while the Wife made cupcakes. I got the lawnmower fixed and mowed the yard. Sunday I made the above street sign out a piece of bamboo while the wife applied icing to afore mentioned cupcakes. Then we took afore mentioned, iced cupcakes to the beach for a friends birthday party.
I’m not too sure I’m completely happy with the house sign. My brush was too big to get down in the letters and I’m not sure I like the colors. I’m not happy with the strength of the wire hanging mechanism, and it’s hanging crooked. Don’t get me wrong, I like it, but I may fiddle with it some more.
I was going to try a palm tree instead of the sun, but the sun was so much easier and matched the colors I had on hand. I’m pretty happy with the smiling sun.
That’s my Monday post, have a good week!
Yesterday, when I posted my post, my tablet had 11% power. When I got done, it was 6%, when I got to work, it was dead. Both my power packs were dead so I had no choice, I plugged it in. However, the data collection will continue. This morning looks like a typical, perfect Caribbean morning, fresh wind, mostly blue skies with some fluffy white clouds, and the sun, just peeking over the treetops.
Yesterday, a friend posted an old postcard of the Holiday Inn Grand Cayman.
Now I’m going through old pictures to see if I have good ones. I used to copy all my pictures to DVD once a year, now I keep them all on a portable hard drive. I am currently copying the pics from the DVDs to the hard drive, then I have to sort them. Not a small task.
This afternoon after work, I have a job interview.
Have a good day!
You can see how this camera kills red in these two shots. The top one is the red red sunrise, but you can’t tell. The second one, look in the reflection in the window, see the red? The top photo should show that red.
I seem to be having keyboard problems. On this keyboard, it’s the space bar. You really gotta hit it good to make it work. At work yesterday, I noticed I was having problems with the caps key. Couldn’t make a capital letter until about the 3rd or 4th try.
Below are some ship pictures from a couple days ago. The top one is a cargo carrier, the bottom one is a British warship that was/is visiting.
It’s looking like a rainy windy cold day today.
Happy Thursday!
Last week, when I was preparing my computer (clearing disk space) for the recording job, I found more than one folder entitled “Phone Photos” These had the pictures from my phone that I dump on my computer at random intervals. It seems a pity, because I sorted them by date, some from WAY back it 2012, and now the pictures are in storage, never to be seen or appreciated.
So, like the title implies, When In Doubt, Photo Out!
Having just scattered the contents of a few folders out to many folders, assorted by date, I find that I cannot find too many of the pictures I just re arranged. Typical.
