The wife has been gone almost 24 hours, I couldn’ get to sleep last night and I woke up early this morning.
Sheba’s depressed, I’m depressed, and the cat, well, she seems OK.
Over the hump this week, almost. Work has been OK lately, as far as work goes. (hope I didn’t jinx it). The weather has been good, all is well.
I can’t tell the days are getting longer yet, by the time it gets light enough for me to post my post, it’s time for me to go to work, so…

Today is going to be a great day, even by Cayman standards! Wish I didn’t have to work, but still, there’ll be a beach lunch!
I got up at the usual time, but I’ve been waiting till it got light enough to see to type. So far, I can’t tell that the days are getting longer. Soon though.
I got a new keyboard/case for my tablet. I really like it!
It’s a whole new tablet now! I had my friend from the Navy bring it down when he came. He’s still here, and has been enjoying the beach while I’ve been working.
Well, I have to get readdy to go to work, so HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Today’s going to be a hot, sunny day and I’m going to the beach at lunchtime! It’s early morning and Crux is high in the sky.

Heading back to work this morning. Feels like Monday, but it’s Friday. I don’t know what I was thinking, I should have taken off today too and gone in on Monday.

Tomorrow we go to Mexico! I don’t even know why I’m even bothering going to work today!
It was a 50/50 weekend.
We didn’t go to a wedding on Saturday, we’re going to a wedding in Mexico.
The wife worked Sunday, she came home with sandwiches, she accidently gave me the wrong sandwich, I ate it. She got super super mad at me for not noticing. I was watching American football, not paying attention along those lines, her sandwich was completely different than mine. I should have noticed. One time at Subway, I ordered a chicken sandwich. I ate it and it was excellent. After that, the worker came up and asked me if my sandwich had chicken on it. I said I don’t know, but it was excellent. They found a piece of chicken in the microwave and figured it was supposed to go in my sandwich. I thought and thought, but couldn’t remember if there was chicken in my sandwich or not. But I remember it was good. the other day we went to a restaurant, I ordered a beef sandwich. I was terrible. Tasted like charcoal, literally. The manager came over when I was almost done, and asked how everything was, I said terrible, tastes like charcoal. She gave me a weird look, ’cause I was woofin’ it down. I said “Hey, you asked”. I have these two teeth that gets food stuck between them. When I got home and jammed a toohpick between those teeth and got out the hunk of meat from that sandwich I could taste it again. It was terrible tasting. Charcoal. I don’t care about food. Eating and sleeping are wastes of time, and if I didn’t have to do them, I wouldn’t.
Football-wise his weekend was opposite of last weekend. Almost all my teams lost. And the Redskins got hammered like they hammered last week.
Did you ever see the movie “The Matrix”? Where the cat walks by twice and Neo says “Whoa, deja vu”? It’s hapening to me, our cat, Ashy, keeps walking by. She’s doing laps, in the laundry door, through the kitchen, out the dining room door to the back porch and under my table. Again and again, like the Matrix movie.
Let me out of here, I gotta go to work.

It;s Monday and it’s rainy.
It was a good weekend.
Friday we had some friends (who are getting married) over, and we bought our tickets to Mexico next month. I am so excited about Mexico! We’re on the same flight!
Saturday n Sunday I basically did nothing.
At the beginning of next month, the wife and I are going up to Miami to meet a cruise ship and go on a two night cruise. I haven’t been out to sea since the Navy! I hope there’s decent chow on the mess decks. Best of all, it”s free through my wifes work!

It’s Thursday. Two days till the weekend. It seems like only the first five days after the weekend are the hardest though. That’s good….
The wife gets back from Miami today at about noon.
Yesterday morning Ashy the cat had disappeared. I looked everywhere and could not find her. I called the wife to give her the bad news. while I was on the phone I found the cat in the closet behind the clothes hanging on the hangers. (see above picture) Ashy still hasn’t approached Sheba yet. Sheba wants to be friends.
I have never seen a dog that has such empathy as Sheba. She seems to know how others feel.
This morning at 4:30 we had quite a strong storm. I should say microstorm. Very strong winds and very heavy rain for about 10 minutes.
Wish me luck at work today because I anticipate a rough day.

The wife went to Miami for work, two days. She’ll be back in 31 hours.
It is quite cool this morning, cloudy and will probably rain.

Went to bed at about 8:15 last night. Without a word, the wife and I both got up and went to bed. When we got there, I said “You know it’s only 8:20, right?” She said “Whaaaa ?”, and then we were both asleep.
I think we need a new mattress, my back has been killing me for two days. I can’t even touch my knees without pain. Thank God for ibuprofen.
I don’t wanna go to work today. I wanna go to the beach!
Today is the groundbreaking for the airport expansion project. Should be interesting and bust up the routine of the week.
I thought about posting last night instead of today, but didn’t. 10 year routine is hard to bust up.
I need a new phone. My battery is shot. I keep it plugged in the charger all the time practically. It’s not portable anymore, it has a wire attached to the wall. I got home from work yesterday and plugged it in. When I went to bed, it was fully charged, so I unplugged it. While I slept, not using the phone at all, the battery went to about 50% capacity. Now I hope I can get it juiced up enough to make it to work and thru the ground breaking ceremony.
