Friday Again!

You’ll be happy to know that I got my lawnmower back yesterday, all safe and sound and clean and shiny and fixed

Story on the news today about stowaways on British Airways, one almost dead and one found on a rooftop, fell out when the wheels opened. It’s not official yet though.

Saw an overturned cement mixer yesterday on the way home from work. Took some phone photos.

That truck had to be going a bit fast to do that. There’s a driver looking for a job now probably..

Weather is still weird, I’m ready for sunny days again!

Rainy Friday Morning

When I started typing “rainy” above, it was raining hard. By the time I finished typing “Rainy”, it had stopped. That’s how we roll down here in the Caribbean!
Yesterday turned out pretty nice, it was sunny but the sky wasn’t blue because of some high, thin clouds.
Now it’s raining again. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow when we have our party for a friend who’s leaving the island.

Tonight the Wife and I are going to the premier of Jurassic World. There’s some kind of get-together beforehand and you’re supposed to wear blue. I was told why but didn’t pay attention.

Doesn’t Feel Like Friday

It doesn’t feel like Friday,

Cloudy, probably will rain.

Grouchy, crabby, bad mood.

Can’t type worth a shit either.

Wife got mad at me last night. I cleaned the kitchen, she wrecked it. I said something and she got mad at me. Said she wasn’t mad, she was “hurt”.

Yesterday I backed into another cat in a parking lot. Didn’t do anything to mine, fucked up the other car. That’ll cost me.

Fuckit man.

More Coffee Screwups

This morning I made coffee and got in the shower. The toasty aroma greeted me warmly when I came out of the bathroom. I went to get a cup.

CURSES BATMAN! No coffee pot under the strainer basket. Coffee had overflowed and was all over the counter.
i had to go get my bath towel to clean it up.

In my own defense, our coffee maker is very complicated. You have to be a mechanical engineer to disassemble/assemble it to put the filter in. Then program it for how many cups, and how strong, if you’re using the built-in bean grinder. Then enter launch codes, authorization codes, retina scan, fingerprint scan and you’re ready.

It’s very complicated for someone who wakes up as brain-dead as me.

Hopefully I got it now, and I’m done screwing up.

Oh, and I’m glad it’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I’m going to see Mad Max in 3D while the Wife goes to a jazz thingy at some restaurant with a bunch of friends. I abhor jazz. It sounds random to me.

Yipee Da Doo Dah!

Pretty sure that’s an original post title. I was going to name it “Friday”. Probably have a thousand posts named “Friday”

Supposed to be sunny today, but I can see over in town it’s cloudy and raining. I really want to take the scooter today, I have a Doctors appointment at 10 and a dentist appointment at 3, and I don’t want to have an issue parking.

Yesterday, I got up, did my normal routine, then was all ready and had about a half hour before it was time to go to work. Then I sat around till it was time to go, wondering what I’d forgotten. This morning I have the sensation of running late. It’s 6:36 and I still have to make my lunch and feed the dawgs.

That Moment

I like the moment when I got up, showered, got dressed, got the dogs out, got my coffee and finally sit down to post my post. Not so much posting the post, but the sitting down part.

Especially on a Friday. Especially on a Friday the 13th! Friday the 13ths are good luck days for me, not bad luck. Days. Same as black cats. Good Luck

My trip to Cayman Brac got delayed till next Wednesday.

That’s good.

It’s all going to be good today. Believe me!

Yeay! It’s Friday! Been a long weird week.
Monday didn’t seem like Monday because it seemed like last weekend was a day short.
Tuesday seemed like Monday
Wednesday and Thursday were timeless non-specific voids of white noise in a black hole.
And now it’s FRI-DAY-HAY-HAY! Yeay!

Wednesday and Thursday this week, (without sound)

Tomorrow The Wife and I are going to hike the Mastic Trail. No plans for Sunday yet.

Dead Kindle?

I think my Kindle died. Took it out to read and the display was like it is in the picture above. I tried to reset it yesterday, but couldn’t see it to read it. I can see the screen change behind the partial wallpaper that seems permanent.

I’m already looking for used new ones, but my wife says I have too much electronics, I should just get an app for my tablet… She has a point, but the screen, THE SCREEN! Tablet can never beat that Paperwhite at the beach. Plus, the Kindle is inexpensive enough to take in harms way, like the beach or pool. My tablet is my lifeline to the planet!
