Lugubrious Thursday

You can see how this camera kills red in these two shots. The top one is the red red sunrise, but you  can’t tell. The second one, look in the reflection in the window, see the red? The top photo should show that red.

I seem to be having keyboard problems. On this keyboard, it’s the space bar. You really gotta hit it good to make it work. At work yesterday, I noticed I was having problems with the caps key. Couldn’t make a capital letter until about the 3rd or 4th try.

Below are some ship pictures from a couple days ago. The top one is a cargo carrier, the bottom one is a British warship that was/is visiting.

Weird Dream Wednesday

Last night I had a crazy dream. I dreamed  I created a document that looked like this:

It was perfect. Simple and elegant, a work of art.

I turned it in to my boss, and the auditors, and contractor, and regulator, who all wanted changes. By the time I got done with it, it looked like this:

Tuesday Morning Blues And Pinks

Last night I woke up at 1:09 to use the bathroom. My dog, Ditto wanted to use the bathroom too, so I let him out. He wouldn’t come back in. It started raining, and I’m chasing him around the yard with a leash.

I don’t think I went back to sleep at all. I’m beat. I snoozed in and out, but no really good sleep. World Famous Insomniac, on the job!

Today, and the rest of this week, I think I have training on a new system that’s being installed. It will be a nice break from the routine.

This camera has no red in it. Above is a picture of a beautiful red sunrise that has the red washed out of it. I don’t need to check the weather app today, it’s going to be rainy. Car for sure.

OMG! Such a long, Brutal Week!

I’m glad it’s Friday, it’s been a long, hard week.
I developed a bad habit on vacation. My alarm clock is programmed on my phone, Monday through Friday. When it went off while I was on vacation, I’d just turn it off and go back to sleep. This morning I just turned it off and went back to sleep. Thanks to my dawg Ditto for waking me up.

Monday-ish Thursday

Today it’s back to work for me. Feels like Monday.

I guess it was an OK vacation. The weather was crappy half the time. I didn’t waste too much time  when it was nice out.

Last night we went and saw Costa Rica girls football. They got hammered by Canada. It was devastating. Canada scored first, Costa Rica answered by scoring immediately, but then it was all over.

Yesterday I took “Da Bus” into town to help the Wife  pick up her car that was in the shop. Here’s a pic of me on “Da Bus”.

You can tell I’m thrilled. Just like I’m thrilled to be going back to work today.

Long Weekend Report

Monday here we are.  Except that I have the day off today. It is the last day of my “vacation”. What a waste of vacation time. It’s like a weekend.

imageYesterday I put in a new sliding glass shower door on the bathtub. Today I may mow the yard if it doesn’t rain.

postercvWe saw the second Hunger Games movie this weekend. It was really really good. Now I’m reading the books again.

And that’s about it. I feel all sore today.  My back, neck and legs… mo matter.

Today is Payday, my pay is already spent, to say the least. I hope the check is big enough to cover the bills.

Here’s a pic of the plane taking off from Grand Cayman. I’ve probably already have posted a very similar photo, but I’m not going to go look for it. It was a good trip, productive workwise, and fun.

I feel like I’ve been a terrible blogger lately, like I haven’t been putting time or thought into my posts. Have to work on that.

Not Too Thrilled

I was going to post pictures from the vacation, but looking through my collection, you’ve seen most of them already.Above is the in laws kayaking.

This is the first post I’ve posted from my computer in a long time, months.

I have a lot of blog reading and commenting to catch up on in the next couple of days. It will take me a while to get back in the work groove.

Picture of My Finger

I am all dressed for work, getting coffeed up, and ready  to go this  morning. Today I have training, so I won’t be in the office. (and maybe we’ll get out early, but don’t count on it)

Above is a picture of our backyard poinciana tree that I just took. Last year it had a few orange flowers but this year it’s in full bloom for the first time. We planted those two trees, (now grown together into one) five years ago.

I’m really enjoying our four chickens, I take them out for a walk every afternoon and I’ve been giving them flying lessons.

I just noticed my finger in the poinciana picture.. Oh well. Have a good HUMP DAY!!!
