not really blank

I have no idea what I am going to post about. I don’t have any pics. I found the picture above searching for images – blank mind. My mind is not really blank, I just can’t think of anything to post about. It is a pretty cool picture though, I think it’s the guy from the back of the Pink Floyd album, “Wish You Were Here“.

This should be an interesting week. I want to get this particular job behind me as soon as possible. Then I’ll be whining about not having any work.

The Wife is getting ready to head out to work, then I’ll start my shower and shaving process and after some emails and phone calls, I’ll be heading out too.

I’m taking an online course about telephone audio interfaces for radio stations. I’ve haven’t told the Wife yet, I’ve been meaning to…. My Society of Broadcast Engineers certification expires in July, and I have to get it renewed. Hopefully at a higher level.

I feel alright, I slept pretty good. I got up once for about half an hour, but I kind of enjoy that. What I hate is laying in bed in misery trying to force myself to sleep.

I hope you and I both have a good week!

Rainbow Shots…..

Sounds like an alcohol drink…
Yesterday I just got home from work when I got a mysterious phone call.
“Are you home?” a seductive, hypnotic, sexy, alluring voice asked.
“Yes”, I answered, instantly hypnotically captivated.
“Go outside”.
I headed out to the back porch,
“No no no, to the front”. So I went out on the front porch.
“See the rainbow?” The voice asked.
“Yes” I answered.
“Take Pictures” The voice commanded.
So I did.
A double rainbow

A bird on the wire.

Two minutes later The Wife pulls into our driveway!
The brightest rainbow in my life!

Fridayeay!

I’m glad it’s Friday. First weekend off in two weekends. Unfortunately the Wife is working tomorrow.

I had a major problem this morning. You’re going to be horrified, I was extremely low on coffee in the coffee container, and was searching the house for the coffee in the silver can. After searching every cupboard in the whole house, I finally found the coffee diabolically and maliciously stashed in plain sight on the counter, next to the coffee maker. I opened it up starvingly and found it was bean coffee, not ground. I re started my search, looking for the coffee grinder. I could not find it. Entering withdrawals from too much blood in my caffeine system, I heroically exhausted the last of my strength and made a small pot of coffee. I am seriously under-coffeed this morning, don’t know if I can make it through this one. If you don’t hear from me in the next few days, send someone looking.

On a different note, here’s some pictures of our animals. Paloma the horse isn’t ours, but she asked me for water yesterday. I went outside and she walked towards me from across the field, staring at me lovingly. She walked up to her water bucket and, looking at me, kicked it with her front foot. It was empty. I got her water and I think she likes me.

Lee and BTK after dinner, acting very uncatlike.

Sheba and Goldie. They are trying to figure each other out.

Paloma our next door neighbor

I love Paloma and I think Paloma likes me!

Samsung Galaxy S II

Last week I got a new phone, a Samsung Galaxy S II. It’s the same phone my Wife has. So far I really like it. My old Nokia N97 mini had me worried almost as soon as I took it out of the box, but this phone is giving me no regrets.
Now I just have to learn all the features! The Wife has been showing me all kinds of tips and tricks, she’s the expert!

It’s looking like a busy week ahead. Two weeks ago I was worried, last week I wasn’t, now I am worried again. I think worry is the wrong word. Stress is the word. Anyway I’ll just keep taking it as it comes.

A Movie Called Hugo

The other day The Wife and I watched a movie called Hugo. It was an very enjoyable movie about an orphan boy named Hugo who lives in a train station in 1930’s Paris and is trying to repair an automaton his father left him. The boy is convinced the automation holds a secret message from his father. Hugo gets some of his parts for the automaton by stealing them from an unpleasant, rude, local watchmaker who (of course) has a daughter who hits it off with Hugo.

On the comic side is a Police Officer who captures orphans and is always after Hugo. The officer has a bad leg that has a cage type splint on the outside, and it’s always getting jammed up. One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when the officer is wooing the flower girl and his leg locks up while he is bent over. Embarrassed, he says “My leg was injured in the war, and it shall never heal” and he flees. This makes me think the bad guy police officer is really a good guy, which is indeed quite true in the end!

When Hugo gets the automaton fixed, the automaton delivers a surprising message, linking the automaton to the watchmakers past and to the reason behind his ill mannered nature.

I’m not going to tell more than that, but this movie was very very good, the kind of movie you listen and watch intently to not miss a word or scene. The acting and cinematography is excellent, the characters are all intriguing and entertaining and the plot is interesting and lively. I highly recommend it for anyone of any age and found it to be extremely pleasing to watch.

Crazy Dream

This is a long tale, I’m shortening considerably.

I was in a car, going up a steep steep mountain, my Dad was driving. There were so many super bright flowers you couldn’t see the road most of the time. Once we came to a clearing and I could see cars sliding down the mountain on zigzag like railroad tracks that lifted the car by the axles and took the tires off the road. My Dad said this helped traffic flow because nobody could use their brakes. The zig zags were to make it fun.

Next thing I know I’m in a school. I remember I’ve been here before. The tables are long like picnic tables. I’m sitting on the far right front row. I think I have a crush on the teacher, she’s kinda cute!
Then it’s time for a break. We all go outside. It is like a big field on the flat top of a mountain. Then back to class then lunch.

At lunch, I am driving my Toyota Landcruiser. I am shooting pool and there is a broken beer bottle on the end of my cue. Then we go outside to go back to school, and as soon as I take the car out of park, it rolls backwards into this big ditch. I see two girls standing at the top of the gully as I roll backwards down…

Then I’m looking for something in this mansions garbage. I find my pool cue with the broken beer bottle on the end. The millionaire who lives in the mansion comes out, asks what I’m doing and offers me a ride back to school

I get back to school, and I’m way late, so I go to the office. Walking down the hall, I accidentally kick my shoe off and it falls down a round hole in the floor the size of a tennis ball. I look down the hole, and see my shoe, in a trunk full of shoes. I ask how I can get my shoe back and am told there is a hatch down the hall but there is flooding. I open the hatch and see nasty water. I close the hatch and go look back down to the tennis ball hole and I see water coming up and up and finally squirting out of the tennis ball hole.

Then I woke up. It may not sound like it, but it was a pleasant dream. I didn’t get all pissed I lost my shoe, and I didn’t get all pissed I got stuck. I felt good in the dream and I felt good when I woke up. In my dream, I got my truck out of the ditch, but I still got a ride. And I went back to class with one shoe.

This is my post for today!
