800 Meter Harbor Sea Swim

Yesterday was the Pirates Week 800 Meter Harbor Sea Swim. It was AA fairly rough swim as far as swims go. There were little choppy waves coming from behind, making it hard to see ahead and breathe. And the buoy course markers were skewed, so you couldn’t really see the next one. Especially the finish, it was tucked way back into a Cove and I couldn’t see it until I was there. The safety kayakers were pointing the way.

I was very tired at the end. But, I won a little toy action camera in the raffle!

Tofay, maybe as a continuation of yesterday’s weather, is like a little mini hurricane. Very strong winds all night stuff blown around on the back porch.

Theres a cold front, hovering over is , drifting back and forth… I wonder if it might turn into a system as it drifts away.

Yesterday was the holiday I understand today is the holiday in the US.

Have a great week!

“Considerable Degeneration”

in the last 6 weeks, my vision has gotten “considerably worse”.

in addition too wet macular degeneration and glaucoma and cataracts and upper retinal membrane I now have a macular hole. Normally there’s a little dent in the retina, mine is a hole now.

so I’m looking at a trip to Miami where they scrape the upper retinal membrane off, and then they inject a gas into the eyeball to create pressure that somehow can help cure the hole.

Since they inject a gas, it creates pressure. Since there’s pressure, I won’t be able to fly for 6 weeks after the operation.

in the image above, normal is on the bottom mine looks like b or c but much more messy. Jagged edges and rough looking.. Mine looks like broken, disintegrating plastic.

Maybe I’ll take a cruise ship from the Miami back to Grand Cayman..

Have a great weekend !

Meditation

Yesterday afternoon I had a one-on-one position with my original meditation teacher. I have another in 2 weeks.

they will always looking for ways to improve my meditation practice. I haven’t missed my daily meditation for 1,291 days.

Westerners, Americans Canadians Europeans English speakers basically I think, all learn to pray. We used to pray at school, (I don’t think they do so much anymore.) but kids are taught to pray and Sunday School, Church and in several other ways. Little win or any kids talk to meditate? Nobody ever taught me how to meditate,

I have discovered meditation is very very important for my well being and probably yours too, although you may not know it.

Give it a try, commit 5 minutes a day for 30 days.. Just sit quietly and try to meditate. Trying to meditate is meditating. There’s also many good books and articles written on the subject. YouTube videos…..

Give it a shot!

The Vegetarian At Work

Theres a new person at work who is a vegetarian. One thing that strikes me is how much he has to eat. He brings huge meals from home and is very serious about eating them. I say serious, I mean, not like someone is eating, an attitude more.like someone who is exercising. Seriously focused on getting the job done.

Many months ago, I was going to try vegetarianism for one week. I went to the grocery store and couldn’t find tofu. (No way was I going to ask where it was). So I decided the universe was telling me O didn’t want to be a vegetarian.

I deduce from watching, I can eat 100 grams of non vegetarian food, and get the value of 1000 grams of vegetarian food.

It doesn’t seem worth it. My co worker really actk like it’s a chore to consume these huge meals.

I think I got the correct message from the universe!

Boox Color Note 4C

I purchased one of these the last time I was in the us. I have not been impressed and not been using it. I really like my Kindle scribe and have considered the boox to be inferior.

however I’ve decided to use it exclusively for the month of november.. I’m getting used to it. It has its.differences

I had a really good, busy weekend.

Saturday I went to two yoga classes and the above meditation/breathwork class. It was a very good day.

Sunday was a relaxing day with beach and naps.

Now it’s Monday and in just not feeling it… Bah humbug

Have a great day!
