I was walking into the hardware store day before yesterday, and in the parking lot I received a complaint about my dirty car. Pretty shocking isn’t it? So I had it washed yesterday. It looks very nice. I’ll have to keep it clean from now on. I also purchased a new floor mats which I like quite well.

Actually,, I just bumped into a friend of mine who worked at the hardware store who said my car looked kind of dirty.. has been meaning to wash it for quite some time. I actually bought the sponges so that I could wash it myself, but as you can guess, haven’t to use them.

incidentially, since I washed my car, it made it rain last night…

1700 days in a row on Duolingo today. Todavía no puedo hablar español.

I went to the dentist yesterday for a cleaning. My teeth were cleaned by Elizabeth of Borg. She let me wear cool sunglasses too.

My share of the dental bill was $2.09. I had to give them $3 and they apply the rest to my account. I suppose bill collectors would come get my ass if they had given me the nine cents…..

At the bottom of the picture is the latest image of my macular, taken yesterday. The ophthalmologist says it is an improvement. Normally would be a gentle dent there instead of a valley. I think the thing to notice is at the bottom of the valley is thicker to the bottom of the macular.

shifting day by day, sometimes I think my eye’s getting better one day and not getting better than next. I feel good though. It takes up to a year.

I’ve had my American Express card for 40 years this years. It has been my only card since I chopped up all the others in the 1990’s.

We’ve had our problems but for the most part they’re great. The bad part is their worthless automated telephone answering system. But once you get through to the human everything is handled perfectly.

Here’s to 40 more years!

It was a good weekend . Seemed nice and long. Now it’s back to work!

In approximately 90 days, I intend to retire.

i.plan on reminding my workplace of this today. Not sure how I’ll do it, it will be an email, but to who? My boss? HR department?

This moon trip is pretty exciting. The furthest humans have ever been away from Earth. I don’t think that record will last long. We’re going to Mars in less than 50 years I’m sure.

They’re at their furthest point about now, they should be back Friday. Landing in the Pacific!

while I was in the US, I took a yoga with weights class at Thrive Yoga. I had been resistant to taking such a class because it seemed to be drifting away from the purpose of yoga, to bind the mind and body. But it came available so decided to check it out.

As I suspected, some of the spiritual-ness was lost, The class was kind of a workout. The weights were light and mildly challenging. I felt a pleasant muscle soreness the next day

The word yoga means “to bind” or “yolk”, like connect a cattle to a plow. The purpose of yoga is to make it so we can meditate better Westerners have turned it into a lot more than that. I’ve always told myself I want to stick to the original intent.

Im glad I went to the class, I haven’t decided yet what I think of yoga with weights overall.
