It was a rainy night last night, The wind is now coming from the south which means I may not be able to swim at lunch time. It was a little bit chilly this morning when I got up and I considered not swimming this morning but I did swim anyway and I’m glad I did.

I work the rest of this week and then I take six more days vacation. I will spend my vacation trying to secure my roof. It still seems to be leaking albeit barely. I have a plan…

Ive been thinking about this off and on for quite some time. Quite some time ago I posted a post about my two meal a day days and also this mention.. I was recently at a yoga retreat, and we had two meals a day. We had morning practice and then at 10:00 brunch and then an early dinner about 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. and it was wonderful I don’t think anybody went hungry and everyone seemed to like it .

I I usually have breakfast and lunch and a snack type dinner. But I noticed if I get up and eat breakfast (Even though I’m not really hungry) I do get hungry before lunch time. If I don’t eat breakfast, I get hungry maybe 30 minutes earlier than I would if I ate breakfast..

I find it annoying that I eat because it’s time to eat rather than because my body is telling me it’s time to eat.

What are your thoughts on this?

Interesting book, written by a Fox. Construction is destroying the fox family natural habitat..Fox 8 learns to read and write “Yuman”. He then goes to a shopping mall for food and encounters tragedy.

The book is a letter to humans. A short fast read..

There was a blurb this morning on the BBC Radio about a school (I didn’t catch which country) asking parents permission to teach their kids sex education in school. Another group was saying, ” This is absurd to ask, it’s like asking permission to teach history or math in school.” I totally agree that sex ed should be taught in schools.

The only “birds and bees” talk I received from my parents was when I was caught with a Playboy magazine in my suitcase when I was on my way to summer camp. My parents told me that if I had sex I would catch a disease. That is all 100%. I learned everything else “on the street”.

Not to mention the deep shame and embarrassment at not knowing what I think everybody else knows. And not having anyone trustable to ask.

So yes, I adamantly think sex education should be standard in schools. And the sex education program taught should be an approved, standardized lesson across the planet.

A lot of parents are just kids who had kids, Do we know that parents know enough to teach their kids about life? Misinformation or lack of information passes from generation to generation.

IMHO.

Normally, I would lay in bed and then after a few minutes get uncomfortable and move to a new position. After a few minutes in that position I will get uncomfortable and move to another position.

Last night , fwith the new mattress, I couldn’t get uncomfortable. I could lay in one position seemingly forever. And I woke up with no back ache!

My advice to you is if you have even the faintest inkling that you might want a new mattress, get one.

Today marks 1500 days in a row of my meditation practice. It is still amazing how much it improves the way I feel.

I hope I am always able to continue this practice.

I’ve had low back problems off and on for a long time. My back seems to be the sourest in the morning and then already loosen it up all day. When I was married the ex wanted a new mattress. She picked a new mattress, I thought it was exactly the same as the old mattress. That’s the mattress I’m replacing now.

the new mattress is getting delivered Wednesday.

At 5:01 p.m. last night, my air conditioner quit working. It was hot inside, the AC was running inside. The outdoor unit was not running. I looked in my watch, one minute after 5:00, of course the place closes at 5:00. So I will call them first thing this morning.

Tomorrow is back to work for a couple weeks.

Guess how I spent my weekend? Watching (and helping a little) as workers put flashing and baseboard on my roof.

Hopefully this will solrop the leak.

nobody has disagreed with me yet when I say that I think it was a mistake putting tile on my flat concrete roof…..

I also did a sea swim.

Im still off today and tomorrow ! Back to work Wednesday.
