Yesterday I was granted Cayman Status after 17 years and 21 days on the island. This is my final immigration hurdle and I am now (on paper) the same citizen as someone who was born here.I came here on vacation in July of 1996, on Feb 4th 1997 I started living here, with every intention of staying as long as they’d have me.

Hopefully now that will be as long as I live. There’s no place I want to go and no place I’d rather be than here.

I’m proud and honored and humbled.

Yesterday I uploaded a MP4 and it wouldn’t play, today I uploaded an AVI and it wouldn’t play. What the heck?

I’m at work. I was uploading some pics and videos from the new camera, and they were still uploading when I had to leave. Now, apparently they are still uploading at home, so I can’t insert them into this post.

I couldn’t upload to Facebook yesterday, perhaps something needs investigation..

Maybe tomorrow.

The wife has been gone 13 hours, I’m holding my own nicely. Last night I had a sandwich and a salad and watched the movie Mad Max.I remember the late 70’s with the supercars. They don’t make ’em like that anymore.

It’s Wednesday, but it feels like a long time since Monday, like it should be Friday already. Slow week.
Today The Wife goes to Costa Rica via Houston. Twelve days…. As usual,  if the blog posts stop posting, send a rescue mission to find me. Bring sandwiches.
That’s about all for today. I’m feeding cats right now this minute. LT has been relieved of the title of “Pig”, Shadow now holds that role, trying to steal everyone’s food…

Yesterday I had lunch with some ex co workers, Trish and Sophie.

It was nice to see them and spend a lunch hour with them.  I think I’m now part of their birthday club.  They’ve been getting together twice a year for each others birthdays.

Trish left Radio Cayman probably 10 years before I did. Sophie probably about 4 or 5 years before me.

I’m ready for the weekend. …

It was good seeing them! Last time we saw them was on a previous cruise ship visit, about 3 years ago. Before that was when we went to the USA and saw my Mom and the house.
