My Navy friend Dave and his Wife Bonita went back home yesterday. It was a short visit, but I feel sure they’ll be back.

It was a short but sweet visit, and a good one.

Now it’s Monday, I have the day off, because I thought they were staying longer.

This morning I heard thunder before I woke up. When I got up, it was all cloudy. When I walked the dogs, it started pouring and I got soaked. It was thundering and lightninging and raining horizontal. Now it looks like it’s going to clear up. I frikken hope so. I got touristy things to do today.

Its Tuesday, but since I’m off tomorrow, it’s my Friday.
Old Navy buddy and his wife are coming in from the US, the Great White North, Coldsville, Polar Vortex Zone.

I’m glad they’re coming,  and I’m glad I’m off.

The last time I saw them, and the last time I think I saw snow, was in the year 2000 when I visited them in Illinois. Since then their kids are all grown up, they’re coming down to visit alone.

Thank gawd. What a long week it’s been. Sheesh, I thought it would never end! The good news is, that it’s Friday,  the bad news is that, this morning before work, we’re only half way through this long, dreary week. But try not to think of that. IT’S FRIDAY! !!!!!

Have a good first weekend of 2014!

I got a new Chromebook. It was inexpensive. Now I’m trying to see the difference between Chrome OS and Android OS. So, I did a search, Chrome VS Android, and found many sites saying that Chrome may replace Android. Other than that, Chrome is property of Google and Android is open source.

The Chromebook seems pretty good. There’s no hard drive, just a little memory and Cloud storage. That means that you gotta have internet access.

Other than that, I’m still getting used to it.

This isn’t what I planned on posting today, I planned on saying that I’m going back to work, Booo hooo oooo. But I’ll save that for tomorrow.

Happy 2014 everybody! It’s the first day of the year! The first day of January! My first post this year! The first Holiday of the year!

I don’t have any plans for this year, no resolutions. Do you? I considered two, 1: Always chewing my food with my mouth open, and 2: Ending each and every sentence I utter with the word “shithead”. These are fine goals to strive for, but you know what? I’m just too lazy, so I’m gonna blow it off, at least till next year….

Last day of the year. 2014 starts tomorrow.  For some reason I think I will tend to write 2114 instead of 2014 (or 2013)

Last day of my wasted vacation. It has been somewhat dissatisfying, lots of windy days, lots of rainy days. I think I made it to the beach twice and didn’t go diving or take the boat out at all.

Last blog post for the year. I took a little break between Christmas and now, but that’s over.

I’m not looking forward to 2014. I don’t want to go to work,  I don’t want my dog (or me or my wife) to grow older. I’m sure it will be better than I expect!
